Air Combat: Fighter Pilot SimulatorGet Behind the Controls of a High Performance Military Flight Simulator 8 Reviews
Price for 1 participant
This is no video game. Climb aboard and settle into the ejection seat and you’ll be amazed. The instrumentation, full immersion audio, throttle & joy stick combine to create this amazing Fighter Pilot Simulator. Once in your flight suit, your experience begins with a pre-flight briefing by the Flight Instructor. After you are briefed on your mission and have learned to operate and understand the instrumentation and controls, you will take to the virtual skies. You will then spend time developing your skills in the cockpit before engaging in virtual air to air combat dogfights. Once your mission is complete you will be guided back in by the control tower for landing.

So as an avid computer gamer I have played a few sims in my past so when my wife gave me this I was not that excited but hey that's the point of a gift right, it gets you to do something you may not do on your own. On arrival I was impressed, we were not rushed at all and were given flight suits and a briefing. They have to cater to all levels but made it fun for everyone. Then we were on to the simulators, personally I didn't care that they were static and it was an experience to just get in the rig and it felt realistic enough, when the cockpit canopy came down I even got a little thrill. We went on to do some flying around to get used to everything and then on to some dog fighting before finally landing, twice on land and twice on a carrier in the ocean. When you take everything separately it was not that special, overalls with flight patches on them, static simulator cockpits that are kind of close but not really, average PC graphics etc. But when you put it all together as an experience with the tower talking you through everything on your headset, and then seeing both the outside screen as well as separate displays in your cockpit it all adds to a fun time.
And with that I should say the emphasis is on fun. This is about an experience, not about learning to fly, I felt like I wanted way more immersion with flaps and decoy flares etc. But at the end of the day its about flying against real people and shooting at them. I was on my own, well my wife was with me but she sat in a separate room and watched the action onscreen. So I flew against people I didn't know. I imagine if you went with a group of friends this would be even more fun as there would be lots of trash talking going on over the radio.
Still, this was a blast and well worth the price of admission.

The Staff was great. The themeing was great. The simulator cockpits and controls were awesome. The graphics were alright but not up to modern PS3 or XBox-360. The simulator was basically a very well themed video game. THE SIMULATOR HAS NO MOTION. I.e., the seat is stationary and has one flat screen projector in front of you. I was under the impression that a flight simulator would have some pitch and roll motion. All in all a pretty fun experience, regardless.

The experience was better than I expected and would recommend this to anyone interested.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was great (even provided crayons and toy planes for my 2 year old while I was 'flying'). I will be going back soon.

I bought this experience as a Valentine's present for my husband. He had such a fantastic time. The best thing about it though was the friendly staff - you could just tell that they are good people who enjoy what they do. We would recommend this to anyone - and next time I'm putting on the flight suit!

My pal & I had a blast. This would have been rated a 5 star if we had just a little more time to get familiar with all the controls & weapons systems before cutting us loose into combat. Couldn't believe the amount of tension. I hope to bring my 3 adult sons next time. And yes, there definitely will be a next time. Thanx.

It was amazing I had a ball even though I found out I can't land. The entire experience was terrific and I plan to take my grandson and son in-law so they can enjoy it also.

'Wow, the entire experience from the suit up, to the briefing, to the take off. It was great. Then, the dog fight! I will never forget the control tower in my ear saying 'Stay with him 3'. You have to try it.'
