Experience a memorable two-hour New York Sail on a living piece of yachting history— the streamlined 65-foot yacht Moët & Chandon 12 Metre "America II", the flagship of New York Harbor America II. Set sail out of North Cove Marina in Manhattan and out in the New York Harbor during this exciting hands-on nautical adventure.

The America II, competitor in the 1987 America’s Cup Sailing Competition in Freemantle, Australia and one of the last 12 Metre sailing vessels built, is a sailor’s dream. This racing machine features an 85-foot-tall mast. She is solid, fast and features two steering wheels and a wide cockpit where you and your guest along with four other passengers and the crew will control her speed and high performance. Throughout this New York Sailing Adventure, your Captain and crew guide you as you help trim the sheets and grind the winches!

Once you’re out on New York Harbor, you will sail south on the Hudson River and enjoy spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Governor’s Island and the breathtaking skyline of Manhattan! Who
The America II Sailing New York Xperience Certificate® is for two participants. There will be approximately four additional participants on the sail.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The America II Sailing New York Experience is offered select dates May thru September, subject to availability. Sails typically take place on Wednesday thru Sunday evenings.

Duration
The America II Sailing New York Experience has a sail time of approximately 2 hours and a total duration of approximately 2½ hours.

Weather
The America II Sailing New York Experience may be cancelled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure.

Additional Information
Sails take place on the Moët & Chandon 12 Meter "America II", Flagship of the Manhattan Sailing Club. This vessel is skippered by a USCG-licensed Captain and their crew. The 12-metre class is a group of sailing vessels were are all designed to a particular formula, so as to make the boats involved in a competition roughly comparable, while still giving individuals the freedom to experiment with the details of their designs. The first 12-metres were built in 1907 and the last in 1987.

Participation in the America II Sailing Experience is limited to individuals 10 years of age or older. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

While motion sickness is possible, it is unlikely and can be reduced by avoiding heavy meal(s) prior to the scheduled sail. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the America II Sailing New York Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
