Americas Cup Sailing In San DiegoTake a Thrilling Cruise on Abracadabra or Stars and Stripes 5 Reviews
Price for 1 participant
Sail around San Diego's stunning bay on a real America's Cup Yacht. Abracadabra, built in Honolulu in 1999, raced in the 2000 America's Cup in Aukland, New Zealand, while Stars and Stripes, arguably the most widely-recognized name among all American sailing vessels, went to Australia in 1987 and won back the America's Cup in Fremantle, defeating the Australia's Kookaburra III. These are exhilarating racing yachts and this is your chance to take in the unforgettable experience of sailing on one of the fastest mono-hull sailing vessels in the world. So sit back, relax and hold on to your hat as you glide quietly and effortlessly through San Diego Bay, breezing by popular landmarks, attractions, and military points of interest.
While motion sickness is possible, it is unlikely and can be reduced by avoiding heavy meal(s) prior to the scheduled sail. All passengers must sign a release form. Water and soft drinks will be provided on the experience.

My wife and I had a fabulous time sailing on Stars and Stripes. She got to sit back and relax while I got to work the lines and steer. The captain, Troy, and the crew where great. They made the day relaxing and enjoyable. We had so much fun that we plan on making this a yearly outing.

If one hasn't sailed on the best of sails, then one should. I own a sailboat, but wanted to experience the very best. It was beyond expectations! Smooth, fast, and kept me attentive the whole two and half hours aboard Abracadabra.

Went with my wife and had a great time. The sail exceeded our expectations and the crew was great.

My son bought this trip for me as a Christmas present because I used to own my own 48' racing boat. I had a great time and was impressed with how fast the Stars and Stripes could pick up speed. The crew was great and the racing was fun...reminded me of my Macinac racing days...Thanks for a wonderful time.
Hans
PS My son was excited that he got me on the longest boat that I have ever been on.

I was in San Diego last week and went sailing on the Stars and Stripes. It was a most memorable experience. There wasn't a great deal of wind, however, it was enough for us to sail around the bay. It was great, the crew members were friendly and we had lots of fun. A great afternoon and one that I will remember for many years to come. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Question: Is this experience appropriate for older participants? How much activity is involved?
Answer: The Americas Cup Sailing In San Diego is a great experience which enables passengers to participate as much or as little as they'd like during the sail.
The boats used are genuine America's Cup Sailing Vessels and therefore they do not offer any luxuries such as seats onboard. Participants will need to be able to stand for the duration of the sail, but that is the maximum amount of activity required.
