First I would like to say that both the 'Stars and Stripes' and the 'Abracadabra' are fantastic sailing yachts for sure, and for my first time sailing, was pretty darn cool....However...My friend and I had the privilege of the owner at the helm ( Master Troy Sears) of the Abracadabra, no doubt a well seasoned sailor with many years on the water, and he has no problem telling you what a stud he is. Trip was going really well until half way through the first race with the Stars and Stripes. A large multi-gazillion dollar yacht was on a steady course through the bay heading right for us. Now I was watching this but from afar because it was a sight of beauty, when I noticed that our 'Master' was heading right for him. Our yacht completely cut him off to the point of the other vessel and to through his boat in reverse to avoid a collision. I had never been sailing before, but I have enough power boating experience to know that this was unacceptable. When the pleasure boat was next to us, The captain of that boat threw his hands up in the air as to say 'WTF?' Troy yells back (What? I'm out here everyday Shawn , you know that!) Of course Troy knows Shawn, all the millionaires know each other on the water. Immediately you hear Shawn on the radio calling the coast guard filing a complaint saying this happens all the time. What really pissed me off? Master troy proceeded for the rest of the trip to bad mouth the other guy 'Shawn' for the rest of the trip when it was quite obvious to everyone that Master Troy was at fault. Troy even called the coast guard several times , where we could all hear, to file a complaint against the other vessel saying his wake was 'excessive' which was hardly the case.
EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. This carried on for the rest of the trip..bad mouthing the other guy, calling the coast guard , complaining BLAH BLAH. Then it happened again with another sailing boat, dude was totally yelling at our captain Troy that he cut him off this time Master Troy redirected the Abracadabra and we lost the race.
1. Great Sailing Yacht
2. Very uncomfortable, very cramped with 12 people (this yacht apparently goes out with 20 people..I couldn't imagine!!
3. Never offered anything to drink
4. Snobby rich sailor boys at the helm
5. You can participate or kickback.
I really enjoyed sailing on this yacht, it is hard to get past the fact that customer service really just sucks about everywhere you go these days.
Abracadabra is without a doubt the rudest vessel in the harbor...Enjoy!

I enjoyed EVERY part of the experince, not just a RIDE. I was sitting when I wasn't grinding. The surprising part, for me, was how little work I actually did, I was always assuming everyone would be running around and busy and would be worn out at the end of the experience, quite the contrary, I got to see everything in the bay, talk to the sailors and enjoy a free COLD diet coke. I will be doing this again!!!

I just want to respond to that awful review- some people just can't find the joy in wonderful experiences. We actually loved helping with the sailing (it was part of the 'america's cup' sailing experience) and everyone DID have a place to sit, it was just your choice whether you wanted to or not. And really, you're gonna complain about the water? Maybe I just haven't been priviledged enough to have gone sailing before, but I try to appreciate every wonderful thing God throws my way...

Just another sailing excursion. Passengers had to help with sailing the boat. It was fun at first but after an hour of grinding all we wanted to do was sit back and take in the sites. The cock pit area was not setup for passengers, had to stand up the entire 2 hours. They did have bottled water for us, but it was warm.
