Enjoy two of Colorado's most exciting summer activities - Rafting on the Arkansas River and horseback riding in the mountains surrounding the Arkansas River Valley, in one fun day!

This 9 mile Class II & III Colorado white water rafting adventure is perfect for families and first time floaters who wish to enjoy Colorado whitewater rafting excitement. The Bighorn Sheep Canyon offers just the right blend of mild to moderate excitement with miles of scenic beauty. As the name implies Bighorn Sheep populate this area of Colorado extensively and are sometimes spotted along the banks of the river or along the rugged mountain-sides.

Following your rafting adventure, you will enjoy a delicious river-side buffet lunch before heading off to Fort Royal Stables where you will meet your horse and wrangler for the two-hour horseback ride through the mountains surrounding the Arkansas River Valley. This Colorado Rafting adventure combines two of the most exciting outdoor adventures of rafting and horseback riding, and is a fun gift for any occasion.

Who
The Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. You will be joined by additional participants in the raft and at the stables.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Experience is offered seven days a week April thru mid-September, subject to availability. Trips typically depart at 9:30 AM. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to departure time.

Duration
The Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Experience includes a 9 mile rafting trip, lunch and an hour of riding. This full day experience is approximately 6½ hours.

Weather
The Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Experience may be cancelled due to high winds, heavy rain or other inclement weather, and low water levels. All decisions to cancel, move, or postpone scheduled trips will be made by the Guide the day of the reservation.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, and bring a change of clothing. Recommended items include a water bottle, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, a fleece or jacket, outdoor sandals or non-slip sneakers, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes are required for the ride and jeans or pants are strongly recommended.

Additional Information
Your rafting experience will take place with a Professional Guide and includes all rafting gear, and life jackets. All rides are guided by a professional wrangler and all skill levels are accommodated.

Participants are advised to be well rested. Please avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the scheduled experience. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions such as heart or lung conditions, severe asthma, back problems, recent surgery, obesity or osteoporosis or any other condition which is considered unsafe are not eligible to participate. The recommended minimum age/size for participants is 7 years old a minimum of 50lbs and a maximum of 225lbs.

All Participants must check in 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.

Any cancellations made to the Bighorn Rafting Paddle-N-Saddle Experience are subject to a $20 cancellation fee. Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
