Bodega Bay Kayaking For TwoExplore Bodega Bay During a Tandem Kayaking Adventure 3 Reviews

Enjoy the beauty of Bodega Bay and its natural surroundings as you kayak Bodega Bay or Salmon Creek during a four hour tandem kayaking adventure with your guest! Prior to your San Francisco Kayaking adventure, you will participate in a 20 minute on shore instructional clinic covering safety techniques of kayaking and receive route suggestions from your instructor. Once you are familiar with the kayak and are ready to get in the water, you and your guest will get situated in the two-person kayak as you prepare for your exciting kayaking adventure on the Bay to begin. As you paddle around the Sonoma Coast, you and your guest may spot an amazing variety of wildlife including migrating birds, seals, otters, rays, Bald Eagles and much more. Whether experienced or new to kayaking, there is truly no better way to enjoy the wonders of Bodega Bay than from the seat of a kayak.
A reccomended list of items to bring includes: sunscreen, sunglasses, hat(s), towel(s), a change of clothes, old sneakers/water shoes, water, snacks, cooler and a waterproof camera. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Cancellation PolicyBodega Bay Kayaking Trip
Once you book, you can't cancel. The weather on the ocean is often foggy, cold, rainy and/or windy, so you're taking a pretty big risk. We got a nice enough day, but it was windy so we weren't offered the ocean option. Salmon Creek was pleasant but ... boring. We had to work to stretch it out to a 3-hour experience. Our 'guide' was very pleasant, but there wasn't much 'orientation' to be done. 'Here's the paddles, here's the life vests.' We were instructed to just leave the kayak on the shore and bring the vests and paddles back to the surf shop.

Nice!
Our originally scheduled day had rain in the morning and it was no problem to postpone the kayaking to the next day. That day was just gorgeous with sunshine and almost no wind. We saw a lot of wildlife (seals, bat ray, golden eagle, egrets, and cormorants) and really had a good time.

The service was great, we got to choose between a double or singles. We also had pretty good weather. The amount of time was generous. I wish we could have had better fitting boats - it took more effort to paddle around a very big single.
