I did this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Got a great tour of the near-north neighborhood, some delicious food, and a good history lesson. Not too much walking. Would definitely recommend.

My Husband and I were given a gift certificate for your tour and we had a very fun time. The places we stopped were all unique and they are stops that we would go back to. Our tour guide was informative and made the day that much more enjoyable. Thank you.
- Ryca Shih - Wheeling, IL, Tuesday, November 08, 2011
My husband and I had an amazing time on the tour. Not only was it a food tour but a history lesson as well. I would recommend it to any and everyone. We will definitely be going on the other food tours available.
- Kelly Jane Goodpaster - Near North Food Tour, Tuesday, November 08, 2011
We did the 11am tour on Saturday, Nov 29 and our guide Jess was wonderful. She did a great job.
- Ed Saari - Chicago, Tuesday, November 01, 2011
Jess was fantastic! My husband received this as a gift and we had a great time. The food was great and we learned a lot. I would recommend this to anyone!
- Cathy Pedersen - Gold Coast, Saturday, October 22, 2011
Great tour, even for native Chicagoans! Carrie, the guide, was pleasant, conversive, and very knowledgable. The restaurants visited provided ample-sized tastings, and a great variety of foods, both savory and sweet. And, the architectural aspect of the neighborhood tour was an added bonus! We'd highly recommend this to locals and those from out-of-town!
- Krys - Bucktown/Wicker Park, Tuesday, October 18, 2011
The 7 stops on our tour were delightful with the exception of the Fudge Pot. The staff was aloof. They didn't seem to want us there.
- George J. Rieber, Sr - Woodridge, IL, Monday, October 03, 2011
Enjoyed our tour guide - great understanding of the food and architecture.
- Marianne Trofimuk - Bucktown/Wicker Park, Wednesday, September 28, 2011
We loved it! Jess was a wonderful tour guide, cute and bubbly, with a wealth of Chicago lore. The stops were very nice and we will be sure to visit the ships in Old Town for spices and EVO's.
- Rae Lee Riggs - Chicago, Sunday, September 18, 2011
We had a wonderful time on the walking/eating tour in Bucktown and Wicker Park. The variety of food/drink allowed us to try things we would never have gotten. Carrie was a wonderful guide with much enthusiasm and knowledge of the areas. We have wholeheartedly recommended it to others already!!
- John and Becky Helmers - Bucktown/Wicker Park, Tuesday, August 02, 2011
This was a great tour. Never boring. Our guide was awesome. We loved every part of it. My husband has a peanut allergy and we were impressed with the adjustments made in the tour for him. He was worried he wouldn't be able to try everything, but he was able to have something at every stop - we are appreciative of that. We will definitely recommend this tour to others and are thinking about getting it for our parents as a Christmas gift! Thank you for a wonderful day.
- Molly Weener - Wicker Park / Bucktown, Tuesday, July 26, 2011
We totally enjoyed our tour & our guide was great. We are thinking of going on another.

This was our first time doing a Chicago tour. We received this as a gift and we had a great time. The food was great and our tour guide Kent was wonderful. We would definitely do another one.
- Ron & Cindy Holtz - West Dundee, Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Great fun, great tour host and an excellent sampling of the best of the Gold Coast food and architectural gems. I recommend this tour even for the locals. Way to go.

The tour guide was excellent!!! Most of the stops on tour were good. The Oil store and spice store was not a favorite of ours. We enjoyed the day!!
- Willi & June Nonnenmann - Cedar st. & Rush, Wednesday, October 20, 2010
We received this as a gift from our daughter. We didn't know what to expect and I thought my husband would be bored. Boy was I wrong!!!!! All the stops are wonderful and I learned so much...especially about tea!!!! Our guide, Arianna, was soooooo great. Lots of energy, fun and not only was knowledgable but seemed to enjoy what she was doing. The stories about the neighborhoods and houses we went by were GREAT!! I think I'm going to purchase this and go again with my daughter!!!!! I've lived here my entire life and still learned so much!!!
- Patty - Lombard, Friday, October 15, 2010
I learned so much and tasted such a wide variety of food. The tour showed me and taught me so much about Chicago. It far exceeded my every expectation. Thanks to our wonderful guide Ariana!
- Jennifer Jasensky - Near North Tour, Tuesday, October 05, 2010

Amazing! We learned so much, we had AMAZING food, and had a lot of fun! Our tour guide was the best tour guide ever - super friendly, knowledgable, nice, patient, funny. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! I went back to ALL the places on this near north tour the day after and plan on continuing to do so ~
- Diana - Near North Tour, Tuesday, September 14, 2010
My girlfriend and I went on the Near North Tour on August 10 and it was absolutely terrific! Our tour guide, Ariana, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Northside neighborhoods we toured as well as the eateries we visited. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that is intrigued by the Chicago culture and enjoys good food. Check it out! You won't regret it.
- Laurence Jackson - Chicago, Friday, August 13, 2010
We didn't know what quite to expect and we had an exceptional time. We enjoyed the food, the information about the history and architecture of Chicago, and the variety of restaurants/shops we toured. It was a great day!
- Michelle Lewis - Near North Food Tour, Wednesday, August 04, 2010
This tour was fun and very enjoyable. Our tour guide Kent' did a great job with the history of the Bucktown Wicker Park area and how it has changed over the years. The places that were listed for our tour, were not the same ones that we went to. I was very disappointed with that, as I had researched all of the stops prior to going on this tour and really looked forward to them. I will say that 4 out of the 6 places that we did go to were excellent. I would say that Hot Chocolate and Sultans Market were the best and that going to I Cream was a waste of time.
- R.Z. - Chicago, Monday, June 28, 2010
This tour was everything we hoped for and more. Great food stops, lots of info about Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park neighborhoods. Our tour guide, Chris, was personable, knowledgeable, and fun.
- Tom Butler - DeKalb, IL, Saturday, June 26, 2010
This tour was more than just food, it was informative with the history and architecture of Chicago. I enjoyed the oil and vinegar stop in particular. I purchased this tour as a gift for someone, I highly recommend this tour! Arianna was amazing, if you can I'd ask for her as your tour guide.
- Claudia Guerrero - Chicago, Friday, November 20, 2009
The food tour was absolutely great. All the stops were unique and excellent. As well, our tour guide, Ariana, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable in all things food, architecture, and Chicago. I'd recommend that anyone, whether local from out of town, spend a few hours with this fun, enlightening, and of course tasty activity.
- Jay Olman - Chicago, Tuesday, October 06, 2009
It was great. The tour guide was exceptionally informative and helpful. The only thing is we were supposed to stop at Ethel's Chocolate Lounge and did not.
- Cathy Unger - Near North, Tuesday, July 14, 2009
