Join a class of aspiring chefs at Chef Jean Pierre’s Cooking School and learn anything and everything there is to know about cooking. Begin the first of 5 classes with the basics and graduate to making delicious meals.
Classes are as follows:
- Basic Skills I: Introduction to the wonderful world of cooking Discuss the correct types of knives to buy, how to keep them sharp, and every fundamental necessary for a quality cooking foundation.
- Basic Skills II: Salads and vegetables Discuss how to prepare a great dressing, make a mayonnaise and croutons, create emulsion, and steam, poach, and pan fry most vegetables.
- Basic Skills III: Sauces and more sauces Begin concentrating on five basic “mother’ sauces and move up to more complex and delicate contemporary sauces. Also cover meat reductions and other sauces.
- Basic Skills IV: Basics Pastry and Dessert Learn to make wonderful dessert sauces, chocolate roulade, and a smooth and delicious butter cream and chocolate ganache.
- Basic Skills V: How to prepare the perfect meal.
Combine the knowledge acquired in the first four classes to prepare the perfect dinner. Perfect for beginners wishing to improve their cooking knowledge.
