Enjoy a Culture & Food Tour of Brooklyn's Most Popular Neighborhoods

It's been said that "A trip to Brooklyn is like a trip around the world." Enjoy a 3.5 hour guided driving and walking tour around New York’s most tasty borough, Brooklyn. The neighborhoods you will visit include:

  • Old Williamsburg, home to many ethnic groups and a thriving art community where you'll be sampling delectable foods from an authentic 1960s era kosher Hasidic deli.
  • Sunset Park, featuring a plethora of Latin American food establishments for a picnic in the park style lunch featuring the "Cuban" sandwich.
  • DUMBO, where you'll stop and get to sample scrumptious chocolate at the Jacques Torres chocolate factory, and visit Brooklyn Bridge Park for an excellent view of Manhattan's famous skyline.

Your journey will take place with an experienced, knowledgeable native New Yorker who will show you the most fascinating areas in New York City. This experience begins in the historic West Village, the past and present home to some of the City's most influential residents. You will then venture across the Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn, where the main portion of your culinary tour will take place. This is a tasty experience to share.

Every Experience Gift is beautifully presented in our unique Xperience Days Gift Box.

Lonely Planet named Brooklyn as one of the top destinations in its 2007 "Blue List," its annual worldwide best-of guide. Brooklyn (its name as borough of the city of New York; it is also Kings County, a county of the state of New York), the "Borough of Homes and Churches," is one of the five Boroughs of New York. It used to be and still feels much like a city in its own right, with approximately 2.5 million inhabitants. If separate from the rest of New York City, Brooklyn would be the 4th largest American city.

Gratuities are not included, but are greatly appreciated.

Brooklyn Foodie Tour
"We had a great time learning about Brooklyn and really enjoyed the different types of foods we sampled. The Polish sausage and apple pancakes were fantastic and the chocolate from Jacques Torres was the best! Issac did a fantastic job guiding the tour with his knowledge of the history of the area. I would definately recommend it."
Mark Bulba - Dallas, TX (Friday, July 31, 2009)

BROOKLYN TOUR

JEAN PIOTROWSKI - LONG ISLAND, NY (Wednesday, November 19, 2008)
Culinary Tour of Brooklyn
"Our experience day was wonderful. We are from Pa and when we venture to N.Y. we tend to stay in Manhattan. We've wanted to get to other boroughs and this was a great way to do it. Our tour guide,Issac, was fantastic. As a native New Yorker he was certainly knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the city. The driver got us through town seamlesly. I notice your heading calls it culinary tour which it is more so than a gormet tour which our tickets called it which it was not. We loved our day and would refer it to anyone."
Peggy - PA (Wednesday, October 22, 2008)
tour of Brooklyn
"I searched for something special for our thirteenth wedding anniversary and thought I'd found it when I stumbled across the Xperience Days web site. My wife and I had moved away from CT many moons ago and hadn't really gotten a chance to re-acquaint with NY since our return. What a way to go! We had an absolutely terrific time/Xperience! (Get it?) I am not sure what the average American would have rated it, but I rate it a 5 out of five because it really did it for us. It showed us a very broad cross-section of the city while keeping it to a very manageable area. There is NO WAY to capture all the aspects of New York's (or even Brooklyn's) cullinary repertoire and relevant history in 3.5 hours. I wish I had 3.5 days."
courtney & tamson c - Litchfield, CT (Thursday, August 28, 2008)
An interesting insight into Brooklyn
"We booked the tour prior to leaving Australia in April and visited Turkey, Greece, Paris and Frankfurt before arriving in New York 2 days before the tour. Having experienced a diverse range of ethnic cuisines en-route, it was a delight to sample the varied range of food and wine, as well as experience the cultural diversity encountered in Brooklyn. It was a fabulous tour and Isaac was an excellent host. We enjoyed every moment, and would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York, and wanting to do something totally different. This Brooklyn food tour was very memorable to us and stands out as something that we very much enjoyed taking part in."

Brooklyn Food Tour- Eating out the traditional way
"We really enjoyed our day in Brooklyn, seeing and tasting our way round the parts of New York not usually visited by tourists. It was good that we were in a small group (6) as we bonded quite quickly and were able to visit the various small eateries without overwhelming the establishments themselves. I particularly liked the Torres chocolate shop and the knishes and the cholent and the Cuban sandwich was amazing. It was good to be informed by a native New Yorker who really knew his stuff and weaved the MPV adeptly through the streets. We felt completely relaxed and comfortable the whole time we were with him. After we made our Brooklyn trip ,our son came to join us in New York for two days on his way back to the UK from San Francisco and we enthusiastically told him about all that we had seen - he was so impressed that he hired a bicycle and toured Brooklyn on his own and saw some of the sights that we saw - though of course he didn't have the benefit of our lovely tour guide or taste the food. The sights, the sounds and tastes have left a favorable lasting impression. If I am lucky enough to return to New York in the near future I will definitely do this again."
Ros Dant - United Kingdom (Saturday, July 19, 2008)
cullinary tour of brooklyn
"Tourguide, Isaac, was great and FULL of all kinds of facts and figures on history of NY and Brooklyn. Great background info which was helpful to understand area. Food encountered was not especially great - emphasis was on traditional food, not necessarily GOOD food. But good cross section. One exception as a suggestion is to add Italian food. How can one have cullinary tour of Brooklyn and NOT have covered Italian food? A bit too much on the Jewish food, and add Italian would be my vote."
Clark Biggers - UES, NY (Wednesday, July 16, 2008)
