I got this for my mom as a birthday gift since she grew up in Brooklyn and had been talking about going back to explore the area. What a great way to do that! We both had an amazing time. The food choices were perfect - we thought we'd either be stuffed or starving but it was just right - and we both loved learning the little bits of history that our tour guide Isaac would impart on us throughout the tour. Overall, it was a great experience, and we're not only going to recommend it to friends, but we'll probably be doing it again ourselves!

The four of us really enjoyed our tour and had a wonderful time! I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day!

This was a fun way to spend a day in New York City. Visited some fabulous eateries that we would never have found otherwise, ate some very yummy food, and tried things that we had only ever heard about. But more than a food tour, this was a cultural tour of Brooklyn. We explored some extremely interesting neighborhoods, drove through areas that looked like they were from the movies, and learned about the history and culture of an amazing borough.

We had the greatest time being chauffeured around town! As life-time New Yorkers, we walked in neighborhoods and saw parts of New York where we've never been and tasted food that we've never had. In fact, there will be repeat visits to some of the stops. Our tour guide, Isaac, was terrific! His historic background of the areas added so much to the experience and he was also very entertaining to listen to throughout the tour. It was also very nice being in a small group of seven people so we got to meet and talk to people from other countries (we were the only New Yorkers!). We highly recommend this tour!

Thank you for a wonderful expierence in Brooklyn. This was a gift for my day and he loved it. The culinary foods and the views of all the different parts of Brooklyn was really nice. I recomend this tour to anyone who wants to see and do something ordinary. Our tour guide was great! So go have some fun in Brooklyn.

I have read reviews and think yeah right someone was probably paid to write that. Well, no one has paid me anything. We took this tour on May 7, 2011. Our guide was Isaac & he was great, told us interesting things about Brooklyn history & it's people. The food we had on this tour was wonderful. My favorite was the knish my husbands was the Cuban sandwich but everything as SO good it's hard to pick a true favorite. I would do this tour again and hope that Issac would be the guide. Thanks for a great time - it was the perfect gift for my husband!

The tour guide, Isaac was terrific. Extremely knowledgeable of the architecture, history, background of the neighborhoods. He was friendly, engaging, great sense of humor and made the tour one of the more enjoyable afternoons we've spent in quite some time. The variety of restaurants and neighborhoods kept it interesting and being able to visit areas of NYC that we never would have been able to see on our own really opened up our eyes to the wonderful offerings beyond our known 'haunts'. Again, I recommend the tour, recommend - and commend - Isaac for being a wonderful tour guide and host.

We had a great time learning about Brooklyn and really enjoyed the different types of foods we sampled. The Polish sausage and apple pancakes were fantastic and the chocolate from Jacques Torres was the best! Issac did a fantastic job guiding the tour with his knowledge of the history of the area. I would definately recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Issac. He did a wonderful job of opening our eyes to everything that Brooklyn has to offer. The knowledge he has on the area, the history, and the food is unbeatable! Thank you!

Our experience day was wonderful. We are from Pa and when we venture to N.Y. we tend to stay in Manhattan. We've wanted to get to other boroughs and this was a great way to do it. Our tour guide,Issac, was fantastic. As a native New Yorker he was certainly knowledgeable and a great ambassador for the city. The driver got us through town seamlesly. I notice your heading calls it culinary tour which it is more so than a gormet tour which our tickets called it which it was not. We loved our day and would refer it to anyone.

I searched for something special for our thirteenth wedding anniversary and thought I'd found it when I stumbled across the Xperience Days web site. My wife and I had moved away from CT many moons ago and hadn't really gotten a chance to re-acquaint with NY since our return. What a way to go! We had an absolutely terrific time/Xperience! (Get it?) I am not sure what the average American would have rated it, but I rate it a 5 out of five because it really did it for us. It showed us a very broad cross-section of the city while keeping it to a very manageable area. There is NO WAY to capture all the aspects of New York's (or even Brooklyn's) cullinary repertoire and relevant history in 3.5 hours. I wish I had 3.5 days.

We booked the tour prior to leaving Australia in April and visited Turkey, Greece, Paris and Frankfurt before arriving in New York 2 days before the tour. Having experienced a diverse range of ethnic cuisines en-route, it was a delight to sample the varied range of food and wine, as well as experience the cultural diversity encountered in Brooklyn. It was a fabulous tour and Isaac was an excellent host. We enjoyed every moment, and would certainly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York, and wanting to do something totally different. This Brooklyn food tour was very memorable to us and stands out as something that we very much enjoyed taking part in.

We really enjoyed our day in Brooklyn, seeing and tasting our way round the parts of New York not usually visited by tourists. It was good that we were in a small group (6) as we bonded quite quickly and were able to visit the various small eateries without overwhelming the establishments themselves. I particularly liked the Torres chocolate shop and the knishes and the cholent and the Cuban sandwich was amazing. It was good to be informed by a native New Yorker who really knew his stuff and weaved the MPV adeptly through the streets. We felt completely relaxed and comfortable the whole time we were with him. After we made our Brooklyn trip ,our son came to join us in New York for two days on his way back to the UK from San Francisco and we enthusiastically told him about all that we had seen - he was so impressed that he hired a bicycle and toured Brooklyn on his own and saw some of the sights that we saw - though of course he didn't have the benefit of our lovely tour guide or taste the food. The sights, the sounds and tastes have left a favorable lasting impression. If I am lucky enough to return to New York in the near future I will definitely do this again.

Tourguide, Isaac, was great and FULL of all kinds of facts and figures on history of NY and Brooklyn. Great background info which was helpful to understand area. Food encountered was not especially great - emphasis was on traditional food, not necessarily GOOD food. But good cross section. One exception as a suggestion is to add Italian food. How can one have cullinary tour of Brooklyn and NOT have covered Italian food? A bit too much on the Jewish food, and add Italian would be my vote.
