Learn how to fly a light aircraft as you take over the controls of a Piper Warrior. Your Discovery Flight Lesson begins with approximately 20 minutes of ground instruction where your Certified Flight Instructor will teach you how the aircraft flies, the purpose of the various controls, how to read the gauges, and what to look for when conducting the pre-flight inspection.

After the completion of your ground instruction, it's time see what it's like to be a pilot during your 30 minute hands on flight lesson! This flight is usually conducted in close proximity to the airport in Crystal, Minnesota, but you will have a chance to see Minneapolis and its’ surrounding areas in the distance.

With the ground school and flight combined, by the end of this aerial adventure, you will have a basic understanding of how to fly an airplane all on your own! Whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or simply interested in seeing what it feels like to take over the controls of a plane, this Discovery Flight Lesson will be unforgettable! Plus, the experience counts as valuable flight time towards receiving your Pilot’s License.

The Twin Cities Introductory Flight Lessons are offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Minnesota Flight Lessons have a ground instruction time of 20 minutes and a flight time of 30 minutes and a total experience time of approximately 1 hour.

Weather

The Twin Cities Flight Lessons may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information

Participants must show proof of US citizenship (either (1) a US passport or (2) a birth certificate and US driver's license). Green Card is acceptable.

Participants must be 14 years of age or older and weigh less than 200lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered by the Instructor to be unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

All pilots are accident and incident free and the Company has a 100% safety record. Pilots are trained beyond the rating they currently hold and are Certified Flight Instructors.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.
