This unique experience gift begins when you meet with your Instructor Pilot at the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport where you will receive a brief introduction to the sport and safety regulations. Once ready, you and your Instructor will be aero-towed by a single engine light aircraft into the thermals and soar through the skies.

This Glider Ride is your chance to see what the fun is all about and share an incredible adventure as you fly effortlessly 2,500 feet above the ground during a Scenic Glider Flight - so don't forget your camera! Whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or you are simply looking to try it, you’ll be able to say you've soared. This Glider Flight makes a Unique Gift for thrill seekers of all ages!

Who
The Acadia Glider Flight Xperience Certificate® is for one participant.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests; but, you may bring spectators to the airport to watch as the Glider takes-off and lands.

You may also invite one guest to join you for the flight if a Glider Flight For Two Option is selected. The combined weight of both participants may not exceed 400lbs.

When
The Acadia Glider Flight Experience is offered seven days a week, May through September, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Duration
The Acadia Glider Flight Experience has an average flight length of 20 minutes and a total duration of approximately 1 hour.

Weather
The Acadia Glider Flight Experience may be cancelled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. If the Glider Flight is cancelled by the Pilot, it will be rescheduled for a mutually convenient alternative date.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open-cockpit aerial adventure.

Additional Information
Participation in the Acadia Glider Flight Experience is limited to individuals over 10 years of age weighing less than 275 lbs. If the additional guest option is selected, then the combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 400 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Price includes tax. Gratuity may be extended to your Pilot at your discretion following the flight.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Acadia Glider Flight Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
