During this Tour of Harlem, you and your guest will learn about Harlem from its origins as a rural Dutch community and a summer retreat for New York’s most prominent families as you witness this New York neighborhood’s renaissance. Throughout the tour you will encounter famous landmarks such as Columbia University, Morningside Heights, Strivers Row and the Abyssinian Baptist Church, the Cotton Club, the Apollo Theater, Sugar Hill, Duke Ellington's apartment, and more!

Before this Harlem Tour is complete, you'll join a local congregation for a morning worship service with live Gospel Music. So whether you are looking to learn about Harlem’s unique culture or for an exciting experience gift, this Harlem Gospel Tour is perfect!

Who
The Gospel Tour Of Harlem Xperience Certificate® is for two participants. There will be additional participants on the tour.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Harlem Gospel Tour is offered Sunday and Wednesday mornings, year-round, subject to availability. Tours begin at 9:30 AM.

Duration
The Harlem Gospel Tour has a tour length of 4 hours and a total duration of approximately 4¼ hours.

Weather
The Gospel Tour takes place in all weather conditions.

What to wear
Comfortable, semi-casual attire and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for this adventure. Shorts are not permitted.

Additional Information
Part of the tour price is donated to the Church. Out of respect for congregants, cameras and camrecorders cannot be used inside of the Church.

All tours are led by tour guides and take place on luxury coach buses. Most buses are equipped with on-board restrooms. Buses are not equipped with lap or shoulder belts or harnesses. The use or consumption of alcohol products is strictly prohibited on the bus. Federal and State law prohibit smoking on the bus. Video and audio recording on the bus are strictly prohibited.

Tour includes multiple stop for photo opportunities, walking and exploring each neighborhood.

This tour does not include food or beverages. Participants should bring spending money as they will have the opportunity to purchase additional food, beverages, gifts and souvenirs on the tour.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Harlem Gospel Tour Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
