Learn to fly like a bird during an introductory Hang Gliding Flight Lesson in Austin, Texas. Following a classroom briefing and a short film which covers the basics and safety of hang gliding, you will head outside with your Certified Instructor as you prepare to take flight!

Working with your Instructor, you will learn how to launch a hang glider safely, running down a shallow hill into a soft breeze and float 3 to 5 feet above the grassy landscape for hundreds of feet. Once airborne, your Instructor will guide you as you soar through the air. You will have the opportunity to take five foot-launch flights during the three hour Austin Hang Gliding Lesson, learning firsthand the basics of this incredible sport and how to fly a hang glider.

Who
The Hang Gliding Austin Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. You may be joined by other participants during the lesson.

Guests
You may invite guests to watch your Hang Gliding Experience.

When
The Hang Gliding Austin Experience is offered seven days a week, March thru October, subject to availability. Lessons are typically scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Duration
The Hang Gliding Austin Experience has an average lesson lenght of 3½ to 4 hours and includes five foot-launch flights, unless the Extended Flight Option is selected.

Weather
The Hang Gliding Austin may be cancelled by the Instructor due to poor weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

Additional Information
Participation in the Hang Gliding Flight is limited to individuals weighing less than 225lbs and are at least 16 years of age. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. Participants under the age of 18 require written consent by a parent or legal guardian on the day of flight.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Hang Gliding Flight Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
