If you've ever dreamed of learning to Flying a Helicopter, this Introductory First Flight Lesson over Boston is the perfect experience for you. This unique Airborne Adventure provides you with the opportunity to take over the controls of a Robinson R22 Helicopter and actually learn to fly! Your experience begins when you meet with your Certified Flight Instructor at Lawrence Airport in North Andover, MA. During a 20 minute ground instruction, your Pilot Instructor will teach you need to know in order to work the controls and safely pilot the helicopter. Next, it's time to strap yourself in and prepare for take-off with your instructor at your side. Once airborne, you will Fly the Helicopter and practice hovering, takeoffs, landings, flying sideways and more. This Hands-On Helicopter Discovery Flying Lesson in Boston is perfect for anyone that wants to experience what it is like to fly and is a unique gift for any special occasion!
All participants must have a valid Government Issued Photo ID. The maximum weight of the participant may not exceed 220lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Helicopter Lesson
I was a little apprehensive at first about flying a helicopter. At 5 feet off the ground taxiing out for take off, all that vanished. I loved every second of the lesson and am seriously considering taking it up now!

Boston Helicopter Lesson
Had a great time at this lesson! It was a bit hard to control the helicopter (for me not for the instructor!) due to the winds but I still really enjoyed myself. Instructor and flight school were very professional, service-oriented, and safety-conscious.

Helicopter Experience
First time in a helicopter. Pilot was very knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to talk to. I was allowed to take the controls and fly the helicopter, under the pilots supervision of course, and really get the feel of it. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who, like me, has always wanted to take a spin in a chopper. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Question: There was mention of extended Flight time. How much more time and how much more on the price for this extended time?
Answer: The Boston Intro Helicopter Flying Lesson is $155.00 for one participant and includes a 20 minute ground instruction and a flight time of approximately 30 minutes. The total duration is approximately 1 hour, unless the Extended Flight Lesson Option is selected.
If the extended flight option is selected, that will add an additional 30 minutes of flying time to your Boston Introductory Helicopter Flying Lesson and enjoy a total of one hour in the air! The total cost with the upgrade would be $310.00.

Unfortunately the Boston Intro Helicopter Flying Lesson experience is not suitable for guests as the helicopter only has two seats.
Question: I want to buy this for my boyfriend. Am I allowed to sit in on the session but no do the whole flighting part, but sit in the helicopter?
Answer: Thank you for your inquiry.
You can join the participant for the ground school session but not sit in the helicopter itself during the flight, as the helicopter only holds two people (The participant and the instructor).
