Take the controls and learn to Pilot a Helicopter during this exciting Introductory Flight Lesson in Petaluma, CA! Experience the thrill of flight as you fly a Robinson R44 over the Sonoma Valley.

Your Discovery Helicopter Flight Lesson begins with a 20 to 30 minute ground school conducted at the Petaluma Municipal Airport. Here your Certified Flight Instructor will explain how the helicopter flies, its controls, how to read the gauges, what to look for in conducting the pre-flight inspection, and making sure the helicopter is safe to fly. After the ground instruction is complete, you will take to the skies on a 30 minute Heli Flight Lesson, during which you will take the controls with the help of your Instructor.

You will experience first-hand the thrill of Flying a Helicopter and have the chance to experience most flight conditions, including straight and level flight, climbs, turns and descents, plus the most memorable, hovering. This Sonoma Flying Lesson is an amazing airborne adventure that you will never forget - the perfect gift for anyone who has ever dreamed of learning to fly!

Who
The Helicopter Flying Lesson Over Sonoma Xperience Certificate® is for one participant.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for guests, but spectators may join you at the airport to watch the take-off and landing.

When
The Helicopter Flying Lesson Over Sonoma Experience is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights are offered between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Duration
The Helicopter Flying Lesson Over Sonoma Experience has a ground instruction length of 20 to 30 minutes and flight time of 30 minutes with a total duration of approximately 1¼ hours.

Weather
The Helicopter Flying Lesson Over Sonoma Experience may be cancelled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information
Your flight will take place on the Robinson R44 which provides a very smooth ride and has dual controls. The maximum weight of the participant may not exceed 250lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

All participants must be at least 16 years of age have a valid photo ID (passport or driving license). Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Helicopter Flying Lesson Over Sonoma Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
