Hudson Valley Hot Air Ballooning For Two
Soar Across The Beautiful Hudson Valley
Price for 2 participants
Soar over the beautiful Hudson Valley with a guest on a picturesque Hot Air Balloon Ride. Your day begins by helping with the inflation of the balloon either at sunrise or sunset. As you help the pilot prepare for a gentle take-off, you will learn how to properly fill the Hot Air Balloon so that it lifts into the air.
Few experiences are as serene and at the same time thrilling - the sensation of time suspended as the world glides gently by. Drift over the beautiful Hudson Valley landscape and on a clear day you can even pick out the beautiful New York City skyline.
Once landed and the balloon is packed away, you will be returned to the launch site. Your flight ends with a traditional champagne picnic prepared for you and your guest by a culinary institute graduate. The Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon for Two is an unforgettable experience!

Great pilot (Vicky). Great grounds crew.
We had a beautiful Sunday sunrise ride. The pilot shared some stories, some history, and answered our questions. There were a few other balloons in the air, which made it that much more enjoyable. We had a smooth touchdown and were treated to champagne, cheese and crackers, and muffins while Vicky talked about the history of hot air ballooning, then rode back with the crew to the airport.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience with a great crew and pilot.

I must say this was the icing on the cake of our anniversary literally! From the blowing up the balloon to the landing it was an awesome experience. We were speechless almost the entire ride because the scenes and sights from the balloon were just amazing. We even saw some deer and we watched the sunset. Vicky our guide was so nice and professional. Will always remember this! Don't forget your camera and sweater. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!

We started the day at the crack of dawn, around 6:30am. Watching the balloon get set up was in itself a lot of fun, and I had a huge grin on my face as soon as the balloon had been inflated. The takeoff was smooth, as indeed was the rest of the flight. I'd imagined that there would be a lot of buffetting and swaying, but really the ride is as smooth as a Rolls-Royce's. We flew about 12 miles and maxed out at 800 feet, which was high enough to offer a whole new perspective on the landscape. Yes, I've flown in an airplane many times, but flying in a balloon is totally different you're high enough to see a long way, but low and slow enough that you get to see loads of details we saw a whole herd of deer at one point. Landing was a lot of fun. We came in low over the treetops, even brushing them slightly, and then came down in a large field. It's a little rougher than landing in an airplane and we bounced a few times, but that really just added to the fun of the experience. And the icing on the cake? A nice breakfast consisting of champagne, cheese, nuts, crackers and grapes. A wonderful, unforgettable day, and very highly recommended. Oh, and we also learnt a lot from the friendly pilot, Vicky.

We had a fantastic time on this chilly October morning. The views of the horse farms and mountains were spectacular. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sunrise was beautiful. This is a trip that will definately be repeated. We flew with Vicky at Wandering Winds. The knowledge and experience that she had made this trip truly pleasureable. We would recommend her to anyone. Thank you.

It was spectacular, felt like I was seeing everything so crisp and clear, like when we used the View Finder as a kid. Thought I could reach out and touch the trees. My husband enjoyed it just as much... Only one thing disappointing...our children purchased a 'SUNSET' or 'SUNRISE' experience for our 40th Anniversary up to us to decide. Well, we picked the Sunset however, we never got to see it. The ride started at 4:30 p.m. instead of the original start time they gave us of 5:30 p.m., therefore, we never got to see the sunset from the balloon (even missed it on the ground, by the time we got back). Our kids were a little annoyed and said we should have told someone. Well, telling you now... Other than that....IT WAS GREAT!!!
