Learn to create your very own work of glass art with the aid of professional glass artisan, Jim Loewer, during this exciting hands-on glass pendant making workshop. Perfect for beginners, this Glass Blowing Class just south of Center City is the perfect opportunity to get that creative energy flowing. 

Throughout this two-hour art class, your instructor will cover hot shop safety and etiquette, basic techniques including gathering glass onto a rod, shaping forms and more. Working with your Instructors step by step, you will have the opportunity to create your very own work of art to keep.

The Pendant Design Workshops are offered Thursdays year-round, subject to availability. Classes typically take place at 6:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Philadelphia Glass Blowing Workshop includes a 2 hour lesson and has a total duration of approximately 2¼ hours.

Weather

The Glass Pendant Workshops take place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear

Dress in all cotton clothing and close-toed shoes. Participants are invited to bring a pair of UV sunglasses for eye safety, if they have a fitting pair. If not, safety glasses will be provided.

Additional Information

Classes are taught by local glass artist Jim Loewer and take place at an interractive glassblowing and lampworking studio just South of Center City Philadelphia. All tools and materials are included. No experience necessary.

Participants are required to sign a liability release form prior to the start of class.
