This Hot Air Balloon Flight in Kansas City begins at sunrise or two hours before sunset, as you help with the inflation of the balloon's envelope. Once the hot air balloon is inflated, you will climb into the basket while your pilot continues to use the burner to heat up the air inside the balloon, until it becomes "lighter than air".

Once the air inside of the envelope is heated to the correct temperature, the balloon will gradually ascend above the tree tops and several thousand feet into the sky. As you float in the balloon over Johnson County, you will travel at wind speed for approximately one hour. Along the way, enjoy spotting wildlife and waving to onlookers on the ground. The most exciting part of this hot air ballooning experience is seeing Kansas from a whole new perspective!

Towards the end of your journey, the balloon will begin to descend back down to earth where your hot air balloon ride concludes with either a breakfast or a sunset snack, followed by a wonderful champagne ceremony. This Kansas Hot Air Balloon Ride is an amazing airborne adventure, perfect for any occasion and is sure to create lasting memories.

Who
The Kansas City Hot Air Balloon Ride Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. There will be approximately five additional participants on the flight.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Kansas City Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience is offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Flights take place at Sunrise and Sunset. Flight times will vary upon the time of year the flight is scheduled.

Duration
The Kansas City Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience has a flight time of approximately 1 hour and a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Weather
The Kansas City Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open air adventure.

Additional Information
Participation in the Hot Air Balloon Experience is limited to individuals weighing less than 220 lbs and less than 6'4" tall. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate. Participants must be able to stand for a minimum of 90 minutes, must be able to climb in and out of the basket and should be at least 10 years of age.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Kansas City Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
