Whether this is your first time in a kayak or you are simply looking to brush up on your skills and enjoy a kayaking adventure close to home, these three hour trips are the perfect way to get out on the water. All tours include a brief lesson and a relaxing, memorable tour.

Your tour will take place on the beautiful Piscataway Creek which is nestled in the protected viewshed of George Washington's Mount Vernon. The Creek is a quiet tributary of the Potomac River, meandering through freshwater, it is a tidal marsh and creek. You will enjoy diverse plant life and abundant wildlife, including bald eagles, herons, osprey, beaver, and turtles. Bring a picnic to enjoy with your friends or family on the waterfront lawn before the trip!

Who
The Kayaking Adventure on Piscataway Creek Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. You will be joined by additinoal participants on the trip.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Kayaking Adventure on Piscataway Creek Experience is offered on select Saturdays from May thru October, subject to availability. Trips take place at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Duration
The Kayaking Adventure on Piscataway Creek Experience is 3 hours with a total duration of approximately 3½ hours.

Weather
The Kayaking Adventure on Piscataway Creek Experience may be cancelled due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, and bring a change of clothing. Recommended items include a swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen.

Additional Information
No experience is required, and all equipment is included. Participants must be a minimum of 12 years old, participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Kayaking Adventure on Piscataway Creek Experience require ten (10) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
