Discover the thrill of flying an airplane during this exciting hands-on Flying Lesson over Salinas! After you meet your Certified Flight Instructor at the Salinas Municipal Airport, you will climb into a Cessna 172 and experience the thrill of taking the controls of a light aircraft during this introductory 60 minute scenic discovery flight.

You and your guest will soar 3,000 feet over the beautiful California coast in a light aircraft. Before the fun begins, you will receive a briefing from your Flight Instructor on the techniques and safety aspects of light aircraft flying. After your briefing, you will hop into the co-pilot's seat and prepare for takeoff with the Certified Pilot by your side, guiding you every step of the way, until landing.

So whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or you are simply interested in discovering what it's like to fly a plane, this experience will be unforgettable and is a unique gift for all occasions!

Who
The Scenic Discovery Flight Lesson Salinas Xperience Certificate® is for one participant.

Guests
You may invite one guest to join you for your Discovery Flight Lesson. (The maximum combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 500lbs.)

When
The Scenic Discovery Flight Lesson Salinas Experience is offered seven days a week year round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Duration
The Scenic Discovery Flight Lesson Salinas Experience includes 30 minutes of ground instruction followed by a 1 hour flight and a total duration of approximately 1½ hours, unless an Extended Flight Option is selected.

Weather
The Scenic Discovery Flight Lesson Salinas Experience may be cancelled due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. If the flight is cancelled by the Pilot, it may be rescheduled for a mutually convenient alternative date.

What to wear
Comfortable clothing and rubber soled shoes are recommended for this experience.

Additional Information
Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 300lbs. The combined weight limit for you and your guest is 500lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

All pilots are Certified Flight Instructors.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Scenic Discovery Flight Lesson Experience Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
