This is your ticket to hop into the Pilot Seat, learn the basics of aviation, take the controls of a plane and get ready to view some of Cleveland's famous sites. During this hands-on Scenic Cleveland Flight Lesson, you will actually learn how to fly a plane. Your First Flight Lesson begins with brief ground lesson conducted at the Burke Lakefront Airport. The Certified Flight Instructor will explain how the plane flies, its controls, how to read the gauges, what to look for in conducting the pre-flight inspection - making sure the aircraft is safe to fly. After your ground instruction is complete, you will take to the skies on a 30 minute Introductory Flight Lesson, during which you will take the controls and fly the plane. You will experience first-hand the thrill of flying a plane! This Cleveland Flying Lesson is an amazing airborne adventure that you will never forget - the perfect gift for anyone who has ever dreamed of learning to fly!
Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 230lbs, and the maximum combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 500lbs if the Additional Guest Option is selected. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Experience Day
Wonderful time, very nice instructor. He was very reassuring and patient. We had the ride-along option and he was considerate of the passenger's needs also. It may have given me the flying bug. I can't believe I actually flew a plane! Woohoo !!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

Question: Can you pay for the two person flight in order to have someone that is over the weight limit fly alone?
Answer: You may purchase the flight for two if the participant weights between 230 and 250lbs. However participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 250lbs. This per-seat weight limit is a safety restriction which is strictly enforced.
Question: Can I pay for extended flying time?
Answer: Unfortunately an extended flight option is not offered, however if the participant wishes to take additional flight lessons they may discuss options for this with the Pilot following the Introductory Flight Lesson.
Question: I wanted to buy this experience and was wondering if I need to pay extra so that my wife can come with me on the flight?
Answer: You may have a guest to join you on the flight and ride in the plane as a passenger. The price for this option is an additional $25.00 for a total price of $110.00.
