Watch the New York City Skyline drift by as you step aboard the beautiful Clipper City Tall Ship, a 158 foot replica of a classic turn of the century Timber-Hauling Topsail Schooner.

Departing from South Street Seaport on the East River, this beautiful 1½ hour sightseeing sail in New York Harbor is a great way to spend time together and enjoy the outdoors. Once you and your guest are onboard, the boat will sail south down the East River past Battery Park, providing you with amazing views of Manhattan and Brooklyn along the way. During your sail, you will pass by Ellis Island as you make your way to the Statue of Liberty. You will also sail past Governors Island and the Financial District as the majestic topsail Schooner teases her bow under the Brooklyn Bridge.

This Manhattan Sail is the perfect way to spend time out on the water and enjoy a unique tour of New York City. Whether you are a native New Yorker, or this is your first visit to the Big Apple, this sightseeing sail on the East River is one of the best things to do in New York and makes unique gift for any occasion.

Who
The Manhattan Clipper Ship Sailing Xperience Certificate® is for two participants. There will be up to 140 additional participants on the sail.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Manhattan Clipper Ship Sailing Experience is offered seven days a week from May through October, subject to availability. Sails depart at 2:15 PM, 4:30 PM, 7:00 PM and at 9:45 PM, June thru September.

Duration
The Manhattan Clipper Ship Sailing Experience has a sail time of approximately 1½ hours and a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

Weather
The Manhattan Clipper Ship Sailing Experience may be cancelled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. If a reservation is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a rain-check valid for one year from that date which can be used towards another reservation. The rain-check is non-refundable.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure.

Additional Information
The Clipper City is 158' long, with masts and rigging reaching up 120' from the deck, and is New York’s largest sailing vessel. The Ship, which can accommodate up to 144 passengers, is a replica of the lumber-hauling schooners from more than a century ago. It was built in the mid-1980s using plans purchased from the Smithsonian. Her decks are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating, a full bar and a raised quarter deck back aft that allows for unparalleled views of the the New York harbor.

Sails depart daily from South Street Seaport.

Gratuities for your Captain & Crew are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event. Beverages are not included and may be purchased onboard the Ship.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the Manhattan Clipper Ship Sailing Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
