The New York Broadway Walking Tours are offered six days a week, year-round, subject to availability.

How Long Is It

The Musical Theater Act 1 and 2 Tours and the Be a SMASH Tours have a length of 2 hours with a total duration of 2¼ hours. The Off-Broadway Tours have a length of 1½ hours with a total duration of approximately 1¾ hours.

Tours will visit the lobbies of theaters, but for legal reasons non-ticket holders are not allowed inside the theaters. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made and locations visited are subject to change.

Gratuities for your Guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event. Participants are encouraged to bring spending money as they will have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs.

Question: Do we go inside any Broadway Theatre's or Buildings? Will we go backstage?

Answer: Yes, you'll be going into several theater lobbies and restaurants. Unfortunately, non-ticket holders are not allowed past the lobby of any theater and therefore tours do not go backstage.
Question: I'd like to purchase the Broadway tour for my grandparent's anniversary. How much walking is involved and what is the pace?

Answer: The tour covers approximately 1/2 a mile over a 1.5-2 hour period. We walk at a leisurely pace and stop frequently to discuss interesting points along the way
Question: Are there bathrooms along the way?

Answer: Due to the short length of the tour there will not be time to accommodate any extra stops along the way. We advise you to use the restroom prior to meeting the tour.
Question: Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Answer: Yes! Be sure to let us know when you redeem your certificate for a reservation. You can put the notes underneath your date selections.
Question: My sister lives in Manhattan and I thought she'd love a Broadway tour. Is this tour mostly just for tourists or do locals enjoy it as well?

Answer: The New York Broadway Walking Tour is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. Locals may know the route, but the licensed guides offer insight and history to this historic section of New York. It's also an excellent way to entertain out of town guests.
Question: Are we permitted to bring a camera and take pictures?

Answer: Absolutely. You are encouraged to bring a camera and take pictures on the walk. You can also take pictures in some of the lobbies but be sure to check with your guide first.
