I enjoyed the cruise. The crew was very charming, the buffet was replenished often. A few of the other passengers could be considered vultures and their pushy ways were annoying. Commentary was interesting and I would have appreciated a little more information. Overall a very pleasant afternoon.

I took my mom on the Tea Cruise for her birthday and we had a lovely time. The crew was very nice and informative. The buffet was good and it offered a variety of different options from a variety of tea sandwiches and scones to fruit and cheeses. I was a little worried the food would run out because the people on my cruise attacked the food table before we were even out on the water, but the crew replenished and everyone seemed to get what they wanted. Many people went back for 3 or 4 plates so there definitely wasn't a shortage! The teas were also delicious and there was a variety of caffeinated and decaf options. The cruise itself was beautiful and there was plenty of room to be inside or outside. Overall it was a very pleasant and unique way to get a new perspective on the city.

I'm actually quite surprised at the reviews above. I found the experience to be quite the opposite. This was a gift for my mother and we both enjoyed ourselves so much on this trip that we have recommended it to my sister and her husband. The finger foods, ok- not 5 star, but were good. And they always seemed to replenish the food when it ran out. Waiting in lines? Hardly-there are much worse lines to be waiting in. And it was a small boat - so big deal if you had to move a little to let someone else get around. The experience you pay for is a beautiful boat ride around one of the most beautiful cities in the world. If you wanted to be catered to then go to your big fancy cruise boat to be waited on. The staff on this boat were very pleasant, friendly and engaging and I thought the patrons were, too. This was far from disappointing and I would definitely do it again.

While this was a wonderful tour around Manhattan, the tea part of the cruise left a lot to be desired. The idea of a buffet for this group was terrible who wants to be standing in line (AND THERE WERE LINES) for food instead of enjoying the scenery. There was not enough food for everyone and they were running out of everything, including certain teas. We felt like vultures racing to get the last crumb.I would suggest tiered serving plates at the tables. Perhaps it is difficult to serve tea at the tables, but the food could definitely be done as suggested. The food, by the way, was mediocre, not the customary tea delicacies. Sorry to complain, but for the price, people could have been treated better. I have been on other Xperience events and was never disappointed before.

On the whole, disappointing. The buffet experience was terrible. Limited food and not very elaborate. One passenger was engaged in talks with the captain that in my estimation, impacted the description of some of the tours high points. As a native New Yorker I believe there were points to be made at some locations that were missed. The crew did there best with the food they had to serve even with the limited amount available and limited variety. Would I recommend this trip to others? the answer is a resounding NO. Since my wife purchased the tickets as a birthday present for me, it will be interesting to see if her reaction is the same. I will not attempt to influence her comments recognizing that these are my perceptions and not hers.

This was very disapointing. Let me start with the positive. The cruise around Manhattan was beautiful. It gave me an appreciation for the size of the island. Any day out on a boat with great scenery is a good day. On to the bad. I have booked 2 dinner cruises through Xperience Days and they were first class. This cruise was not. First of, if you dont get there early and are one of the first on line, thats a problem. There was not assigned seating or private tables. So you are squeezed into a half circle booth with a rickety table with other diners. If you want to get up, your whole table has to move for you. Secondly, eat before you go. Food was scarce and not nearly enough for the amount of guests. It was served on a few small trays buffet style and basically you had to fight like vultures to get to the food. The food itself was basic fruit, mini muffins, and cheese and crackers. They did bring out finger sandwiches but again not nearly enough and they were enough to feed a toddler. It was a tea cruise yet there were no spoons for preparing tea. I'm sorry to say but this was second rate. I would spend a little extra and do the dinner cruise on the larger, nicer boat.
