Who
The Newport Lunch Train For Two Xperience Certificate® is for two participants. There may be up to seventy additional participants in the dinning car.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Newport Lunch Train Experience is offered on Thursday and Saturday afternoons, June thru August, subject to availability. The train typically departs 11:30 AM.

Duration
The Newport Lunch Train Experience has a travel time of 1½ hours and a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

Weather
The Newport Lunch Train Experience may be cancelled by the Conductor due to severe weather conditions. Cancellations due to weather are rare.

What to wear
Business Casual attire is suggested. Please do not wear shorts or tank-tops.

Additional Information
Menu subject to change. Price includes tax and service charge; however gratuity is not included and can be extended to your server onboard.

Beverages other than water, coffee and tea are additional and can be purchased on board.

Murder Mystery events are only offered on Saturday evenings. The Newport Dinner Train is a non-smoking venue. Smoking is not permitted on board the train.

All changes to reservations for the Newport Lunch Train Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

Lunch Train - Ok

We took our two-year old son on the Newport Dinner Train for lunch. The train was not quite what I expected. For some reason I imagined an old open-air steam engine because that's what the picture showed, though I knew this was a dining experience. The meal was good and our son enjoyed seeing the aircraft carrier at the navel shipyard. The train moved VERY slowly and it was not nearly as scenic as I expected.

Newport Lunch Train

My wife and I had a great time on the Lunch Train enjoying the scenery along the coast on the appropriately slowly moving train. Food, as well as, the service were excellent - we will recommend this to our friends. Thanks.

Food was good, and servers were good
train ride only went through the naval station..so scenary not great..but ok
