Take to the Boulders and land features of California on this thrilling 60 Minute Land Rover Adventure Lesson!

Your experience begins when you meet your knowledgeable driving instructor at the Quail Lodge in Carmel, who will provide you with all the course details. Covering the basics of expedition-style driving and are customized to fit your skill and comfort level, your lesson will consist of off-road obstacles such as steep ascents, descents, side-tilts, log crossings, rock crawls, and boulders make for a thrilling and memorable Land Rover Off-Roading Experience.

So whether this is your first time off-road or you have advanced experience, the Land Rover Off-Road Course at the Quail Lodge in California provides elements and terrain that will increase your knowledge and ability to successfully enjoy your off-road adventure.

The Off-Road Quail Lodge Adventure is offered Thursday through Monday year-round, subject to availability. Lessons can be scheduled from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

How Long Is It

The Off-Road Driving at Quail Lodge includes a 1 hour lesson with a total duration of approximately 1½ hours, unless and extended option is selected.

Weather

The Quail Lodge Land Rover Driving Lesson may be rescheduled by the Guide due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably, flat, rubber-soled shoes, are recommended for this off-roading adventure.

Additional Information

Participants must be over the age of 21 and have a Valid Driver's License and minimum of 8 years old to ride along with a parent or guardian. An instructor accompanies each and every vehicle and will sit in the front of the vehicle. They will sit in the driver's seat when demonstrating and the passenger front seat when instructing.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Question: I wanted to get this for my husband for his birthday but we do not have 3 people who want to participate. Can I get the all day for just him and how much would that be?

Answer: The Off-Road Driving at Quail Lodge: Full Day Experience Certificate® is for one participant. This is a private experience for you and your guests. If you choose to not bring any guests, the price will remain the same.
Question: I am interested in getting the Off-Road Driving at Quail Lodge for a gift. Is it an actual lesson or is it just off-road driving?

Answer: This is a one hour lesson. Your qualified instructor will sit in the passenger seat for the majority of the time and occasionally take over in order to demonstrate some maneuvers.
Question: I just got this experience as a birthday gift, if I invite 2 of my friends to come along, can we take turns driving?

Answer: Yes, you're instructor will be in the passenger seat for most of the except when he gets behind the wheel to demonstrate. If you and your guests would like to take turns driving you may.
Question: I have my own Land Rover that's a couple of years old. Can I bring and use my own vehicle?

Answer: This class will challenge you to push your limits so you'll probably be more comfortable using the vehicles provided by the class. It will also give you the opportunity to explore the new features of the latest models.
