You and your guest will discover the magic of Chinatown as your guide, Master Chef Joseph Poon takes you on an insider's tour of this vibrant community. During this fabulous Food Tour you will learn about the history, culture and food of Chinatown. Stops along this walking tour include a fortune cookie factory, Chinese Temple, a Chinese bakery to taste amazing bubble tea, an Asian grocery store where Chef Poon will discuss Asian herbs along with their health and nutritional benefits, a fresh fish market and more! In addition, you will also be treated to a Tai Chi demonstration, a Chinese vegetable carving lesson and a delicious meal served by Chef Joseph Poon's team. Whether you are a local or this is your first time in Philadelphia, this Chinatown Food Tour is one of the best things to do in Philly and makes a delicious gift for any couple!
Tours include ˝ to 1 mile of walking. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made. Tour routes and locations visited are subject to change. Price includes all tastings. Children must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age or older at all times. You will have the opportunity to purchase additional food and beverages during the experience, therefore participants are urged to bring spending money.

Chinatown Tour
This was a most enjoyable experience! Chef Poon is very energetic and enthusiastic in his teaching and cooking. I have traveled through chinatown for many years never realizing that there are so many interesting markets, foods,and shops. I now have the confidence and desire to return on my own to explore, shop and try some of the foods I observed and sampled. I also plan to attend some of Chef Poon's events - especially the new years banquet that runs through March- the menu looks amazing!

Answer: The Philadelphia Food Tour of Chinatown Experience is offered on select Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays year-round, subject to availability. Tours are typically offered two to three times per month and begin at 10:30 AM.
