Your experience begins by helping with the inflation and set up of the balloon a few of hours before sunset. Once aloft, you will fly high enough for panoramic views and low enough to enjoy the excitement of skimming a river or tree tops. You will fly at different altitudes to use the varying wind layers to "steer" the balloon. These winds will take you about 5 or 10 miles over the course of the one hour flight. Since you will not fly back to the launch site, the experienced chase crew will be in radio contact and follow you throughout the flight. They will be there when you land to help pack up the balloon and take you back to the launch site.

The Pittsburgh Hot Air Balloon Flight Experience is offered Monday thru Friday, May thru September, subject to availability. Flights take place at Sunset, meeting times vary throughout the season, but the average meeting time is 5:30 PM. Flights are unavailable until Spring 2010. |

The Pittsburgh Hot Air Balloon Flight Experience has a flight time of approximately 1 hour and a total duration of approximately 3˝ hours.

WEATHER
The Pittsburgh Hot Air Balloon Flight Experience may be cancelled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. The potential for cancellations due to weather is greater in the spring and fall months. |

WHAT TO WEAR
Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this open air adventure.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Participation in the Hot Air Balloon Experience is limited to individuals weighing less than 200lbs and less than 6’5” tall. The total maximum weight of participants cannot exceed 400lbs.Participants must be able to stand for a minimum of 90 minutes, should be at least 8 years of age and also a minimum of 4’ tall. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. |

CANCELLATION POLICY
All changes to reservations for the Pittsburgh Hot Air Balloon Ride Experience require fourteen (14) days advance notice.Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.
