San Diego Biplane Flight
Enjoy a Twenty Minute Biplane Ride Over the Southern California Coast
Price for 1 participant
Sit in the front cockpit of a meticulously restored 1920's airplane with helmet, goggles and headset. Experience aviation of the past, in either a NC3242, originally built in May 1927, the same month Charles Lindberg flew across the Atlantic, or in the NC674H bi-plane, built in November 1929, owned by a Chicago Detective Agency that used it to transport a gangster-sniffing bloodhound!
For twenty minutes, enjoy flying low and slow over beaches, inland over lakes, golf courses, vineyards and more. Or, design your own aerial route with the help of your pilot as you are in constant communication with your pilot. Each flight can be more thrilling than a roller coaster, or as gentle as you like!
So take the front cockpit seat, as the pilot will seat in the back of the cockpit, where he will maneuver the plane over the beautiful Southern California Coast! Bring a guest and share the ride of a lifetime.

Great flight! Really beautiful to see the city and bay from the sky. Wish we would have been introduced to the pilot before the flight and that we would have received a little more commentary from the pilot about where we were and what we were seeing. That minor complaint aside, a once in a lifetime opportunity...but I would do it again if the opportunity came up.

I thought it was a lot of fun. Loved being up there in the open air. It was well worth it, and I would recommend it. I have wrote about it and posted pictures of my trip on my travel blog which will post on April 29th.

Our entire family went as a Father's Day present. This is the second Xperience gift we have given our dad and he said this was his favorite! He went with mom once we convinced her it was safe, and she came back ready to go again! We will be back!

We were all set to take a sunset flight in San Diego but got stuck in horrible traffic. The front desk people waited for us to arrive, they were so nice and welcoming. The flight was beautiful, smooth and the pilot took off and landed so smoothly. GREAT TIME! Can't wait to do it again.

'I just returned from a great flight this afternoon with 'Hobbs'...and I have to say it was the BEST airplane ride I have ever had. The view from 8000' was fantastic, especially when we were upside down during the 4point roll and the loop. I am sure that Hobbs would have liked to spin for the entire flight, but flying straight and level was fine with me. I hope to do this again soon.'

Question: I want to know if 2 people take this flight will one person still be able to be in control? I want to give the experience of flying as a gift, but I also want to be along for the ride.
Answer: The San Diego Biplane Flight can only be a flight lesson if the participant does not bring a guest. If the participant chooses to bring a guest the experience will become a tour for two
Question: Is the purchase of this biplane gift certificate for one person or can it be for 2? What i am looking for is to do a sunset flight for 2 people, if you have that option available what would be the price?
Answer: This biplane gift certificate can be used for two people with the following restriction: You may invite one guest to join you for the Biplane Flight. The combined weight of both participants cannot be greater than 400lbs.
