Experience the Thrill of Surfing with this 1˝ Hour Surf Lesson at Mission Beach in San Diego
It is amazing how proper instruction can accelerate your learning curve and take away some of the frustration most beginner surfers face. This experience will have you up on the board in no time.
You will begin with a half hour instruction on the beach learning the basics techniques before you hit the water. Once ready, you will head into the water and learn more about safety and ocean awareness including lateral currents and rip tides, paddling and positioning on the board as well as basic wave reading and knowledge. Your lesson concludes with learning to stand on the board and ride the waves. You will have plenty of time to practice the techniques and catch some waves!

WHO
The San Diego Surf Lesson Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. There will be up to five additional participants at the lesson unless the Private Lesson option is selected. |

WHEN
The San Diego Surf Lesson Experience is offered seven days a week May thru October, subject to availability. Lessons are offered at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. |

DURATION
The San Diego Surf Lesson Experience has a beach instruction time of 30 minutes, an in-water instruction time of 60 minutes and a total experience time of approximately 2 hours. |

GUESTS
You may invite guests watch your lesson from the beach. |

WEATHER
The San Diego Surf Lesson Experience may be cancelled by the Instructor due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. |

WHAT TO WEAR
Please wear your swimsuit or trunks beneath your clothing and apply sunscreen at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson. A towel, sunglasses, hat and change of clothing are also recommended for this surf lesson. |

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Wetsuits, rash-guards and surfboards are all provided for the lesson and can be for an additional hour following the lesson. If you have your own surfboard or other equipment, you are welcome to use it.
Participants must be over the age of 5, must be able to swim with their head above water and must be able to swim to shore. Younger participants and weak swimmers will be kept in shallow waters. Participants are advised to be well rested and should avoid drinking alcohol the evening prior to their lesson. All Instructors are experienced surfers and have been surfing for over 10 years. They are all certified in CPR and First Aid, and some are also ocean lifeguards. Instructors are with the students at all times.
Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation. |

CANCELLATION POLICY
All changes to reservations for the San Diego Surf Lesson Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.
Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made. |
