Only 50 miles northwest of the City, your Santa Barbara sky dive adventure begins with an orientation to the sport, safety aspects of Tandem Skydiving and an overview of all safety procedures and equipment.

Once you have completed the pre-jump instruction, you will suit-up and hop on the plane with your Instructor for a short flight to the Drop Zone. When the plane reaches an altitude of 13,000 feet above the dropzone, it is time to exit the aircraft! Prior to the Tandem Skydive, you will be harnessed to your Certified Instructor as you get ready for an unbelievable 120 mph 40 second freefall.

When you reach an altitude of 5,000 feet, your Instructor will deploy the parachute so that the two of you can gently glide back to earth under the canopy. During your descent, you will be able to help guide the parachute and enjoy amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara landscape below. This Skydive in Southern California is an amazing experience for anyone looking for a daring adventure and makes a great gift for thrill seekers!

5 stars

The best & most exhilarating adventure ever.

Question: Can I bring my camera if it has a strap?

Answer: No. It is illegal for anyone to carry camera equipment when they skydive until they've completed at least 200 solo jumps. If you'd like video of your jump you may contact the skydiving school directly to make arrangements. All of their contact information will be provided in your confirmation email.

Question: What does it feel like to jump out of a plane. I hate roller coasters. Is the initial drop similar to the first drop on a coaster?

Answer: Not at all. Roller coasters are designed to give you that sudden drop feeling. In skydiving you are pulled to terminal velocity by your own weight. Most people describe the feeling as floating or even flying.

Question: Are we allowed to bring friends to the Skydiving Santa Barbara experience to watch?

Answer: Yes. There is an administration building they can hang out at until you jump. There are also several restaurants within walking distance of the airport.

Question: What happens if our jump is cancelled for bad weather?

Answer: If your jump is cancelled the Santa Barbara Skydiving school will reschedule you directly.
