Fly in one of the most highly recognized fighters from WWII, the inimitable P40 Kittyhawk (Warhawk). Flown by the flying tigers, only a couple dozen of these famed beauties are left flying, only 3 with dual controls, and only one you can take a flight in! Enjoy this rare, yet exhilarating experience of flight in this beautifully restored P40N, dual control Kittyhawk.

Before this amazing Twenty-Minute War Plane Ride departs from Sonoma Valley Airport, you’ll meet with your pilot, who will go over the history and functionality of this Vintage Warbird Aircraft. After you’ve been fully briefed, you’ll climb on to the plane and soar into the skies.

Once in the air, you may take over the controls and actually fly this vintage World War II Plane! Whether you choose to sit back and simply enjoy this scenic flight over Sonoma, try your hand at flying a historic aircraft, or request that your pilot perform a few precision aerobatics, including loops and rolls, this vintage aircraft flight is an unforgettable unique gift for anyone with a sense of history and adventure.

P-40 Ride

5 stars

My ride in the P-40 was very exciting and a dream come true.
My pilot, Chris Provost, was very professional and helpful as he got me strapped in with a parachute harness and the seat belt and took me for a very good ride over Sonoma and the around the Bay Area. I would highly recommend this for all WWII fighter enthusiasts!

Question: Why can't I reserve a specific time on the weekend?

Answer: Weekends are first come first serve. The reason is the unpredictability of wine country traffic on the weekends. If you get caught in traffic and are even 15 minutes late to your flight, it will throw the rest of the days schedule off.

Question: Are we able to actually fly the Warbird?

Answer: Yes, the plane is equipped with dual controls so you can take over for a while once you're up in the air.

Question: What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my flight?

Answer: Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the pilot and will be rescheduled directly with the service provider. We recommend calling just before you leave your house or hotel to confirm you flight. Coastal rain and fog can move in quickly in Sonoma. On the other hand it can also move out quickly so the weather may be better at the airport than it is where you are staying. No shows are non-refundable and will not be rescheduled.

Question: If I purchase the basic flight for my friend can he add on flight time at a later date if he chooses to?

Answer: Sure! When he's ready to redeem his certificate for a reservation he can call customer service at 866-973-7436 and add up to 40 additional minutes to his certificate. Credit cards only.

Question: Is there a weight limit?

Answer: No really. There is more of a size limit. You must be able to fit into the front seat wearing a parachute. You also need to be able to get in and out of the cockpit on your own.
