Enjoy a wine tasting class that combines useful and distinctive information in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of specifically chosen wines and cheeses. Classes are typically about two hours long and feature between five and ten comparative tastings (10-20 wines) that serve to demonstrate varying levels of body, tannin, sweetness, dryness, fruitiness, earthiness, and so much more!

The classes are designed so that you and your guest can learn about an array of wines through tasting them as your instructor discusses their unique attributes, background, and flavors. In addition, you will taste a selection of cheeses, cured meats, and olives from Murray's.

Who
The Wine Tasting In New York For Two Xperience Certificate® is for two participants. You may be joined by up to thirty additional participants.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Wine Tasting In New York Experience is offered on select Thurdsday, Friday and Saturday evenings year-round, subject to availability. Thursday and Friday classes begin at 7:00 PM and end at 9:30 PM, Saturday classes begin at 5:00 PM and end at 7:30 PM.

Duration
The Wine Tasting In New York Experience has a class time of approximately 2½ and a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Weather
The Wine Tasting In New York Experience takes place in all weather conditions.

What to wear
Business Casual attire is suggested.

Additional Information
Participation in the Wine Tasting In New York Experience is limited to individuals over the age of 21 years old.

All classes are held at the NYC Wine Company, located on 23rd Street between 6th & 7th Avenues.

Wine Tasting Review

Wine Tasting

This event was pleasant, but way over my and my husbands heads. We were sort of hoping this tasting was geared more toward beginners. It was really more suited for those that have atittle bit of knowledge on how to describe a wine. We could have used a clinic before going to this tasting. The coupling of the cheeses with the wine was nice. The staff was very nice and quiet knowledgable.

Wine Tasting 101

The class was really fun and my wife and I learned a lot. Much more than we expected to. The teacher was really knowledgeable and the wine was absolutely amazing. He has several wines from regions in Europe we had never tried before so it was great to branch out and expand our wine experience. I would recommend this class to anyone who likes wine and wants to learn more about how and why different wines taste the way they do.

Wine Tasting

My girlfriend and I had a really nice time. Wine, cheeses, and especially the bread selection was fantastic. The staff was very nice and knowledgable. My only negative feedback was the late start (due to people arriving late) and the lack of complete control over some guests. Some guests were occasionally being loud and disruptive and needed to be reined in. Overall a great experience and would like to go back soon.

New York Wine Tasting

Well, we thought the overall experience allowed us to sample the wines with cheese, bread, etc. Interesting and noteworthy. Programatically, an issue related to starting the event on time existed. We waited an inordinate amount of time for several couples to arrive. Why should we all wait and delay the wine tasting experience when people are late for no appparent reason?

NYC Wine 101

My wife and I along with another couple attended the wine tasting this past weekend and enjoyed the selections and cheese pairings very much. Andrew's depth and knowledge of wine making was extremely impressive. Our only criticism was that the class size seemed to large for him to handle. It really needed to be smaller, maybe 20 people, not 40.

Wine Tasting Class 101

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Wine Tasting 101 Class. We sat with a newly married couple whose company we enjoyed while tasing some very nice wines and cheeses, and while learning a great deal about wines. The atmosphere was relaxing. Andrew was both knowledgeable and passionate about wines. We enjoyed talking to him and the 'staff' for a while after eveyone left. This was a wonderful gift and we would highly recommend it.
