Discover the pivotal role women have played in the development of NYC during this empowering two and a half hour Walking Tour of New York. From matriarchs and pioneers to suffragists and philanthropists, you will be awed at the hidden past of New York Women.

This fun and educational tour begins when you meet your friendly, local guide in Lower Manhattan. As you and the rest of the guests traverse the streets and take in the sights you will hear the untold stories of the female pioneers who’s contributions helped make New York the great City it is today. Learn about the only woman to establish a village in colonial America, the first woman injured in the Revolutionary War, true tales of women suffragists and Wall street pioneers, 9/11 heroes and more.

So whether you are looking for a new way to explore the City or a unique Big Apple gift, this Great Women of New York Tour is truly inspiring!

Who Is Included hide

The Great Women of New York Tour Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. There will be additional participants on the tour.

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests or spectators.

When It Is Offered hide

The Women of New York Tours are offered on Mondays March thru December, subject to availability. Tours Typically begin at 10:00 AM.

How Long Is It hide

The New York Tours are typically 2½ hours in length with a total duration of 2¾ hours.

Weather hide

The New York Sightseeing Tours take place in all weather conditions.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably. Flat walking shoes and layers are recommended for this walking adventure.

Additional Information hide

Tours include less than two miles of walking. All ages are welcome on the tour, but keep in mind the subject matter may not be interesting to young children and you will be standing or walking for two and a half hours. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be approximately 25–32 participants on the tour. The tour guide wears a portable microphone an speaker to ensure all participants can hear.

Tours do not run on on the following Holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

This tour is Wheelchair accessible. Service animals are allowed on the tour, however pets are not.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

All changes to reservations for the Great Women of New York Tour Experience require Seven (7) days advance notice.
