About This Experience

General Information hide

Leap from a plane approximately 2½ miles above the ground and freefall for 60 seconds solo! The Accelerated Freefall (AFF) Training Program is the most advanced and developed first-jump training program in the world!

After a four to six hour ground school on training and safety, you will completely understand the equipment and the sequence of events. You and your jumpmasters will board the aircraft. Once you reach your jump altitude you, will exit the aircraft with two instructors at your side, reaching speeds up to 110 MPH!

After almost a minute of freefall, you will deploy your own parachute and enjoy a scenic 4 to 6 minute ride. Landing softly in our grassy drop zone in front of your friends and family, you will be presented with a First Jump Certificate to proudly display of this extreme adventure!

Who Is Included hide

The Solo Skydive San Diego Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. You may be joined by up to ten additional participants.

You may invite guests to the drop zone to watch your skydiving experience.

When It Is Offered hide

The San Diego Solo Skydives are offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Weekend reservations are typically scheduled between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and weekday reservations are typically scheduled between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

How Long Is It hide

The Skydive Solo San Diego Freefall has a ground school of 4 to 6 hours, a short plane ride to the jump site, a 60 second freefall with a 4 to 6 minute parachute ride and a total duration of approximately 6½ hours.

Weather hide

The Skydive Solo Jump may be rescheduled by the instructor due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, in layers. Flat rubber-soled shoes such as tennis shoes are recommended for this adventure. You will be provided with a jump-suit to wear during the experience. Jewelry, flip flops and opened toed shoes are not permitted.

Additional Information hide

Participants must be over the age of 18 years old with a valid government issued Photo ID. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 230lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

All jumpmasters and instructors have current USPA ratings and flight medicals on file. All staff members are professionals, chosen for their commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

The consumption of alcohol or any illegal drug prior to skydiving is strictly prohibited. Please eat lightly and drink fluids on hot days. If you get air sick or car sick, Dramamine is suggested.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. Video and Photo Packages are available and may be purchased on the day of your jump.
