It was a great time learning to make beer, I have made beer in the past and it was very informative for beginners like myself or new to the hobby. I would recommend it. Nothing better than having some beers while making beer.

Questions about Beer Making Brooklyn

Question: I would like to buy this as a gift for my brother. Do you actually make your own beer or do they only tell you how to do it? Can you take home what ever you make, or pick up the beer you've made during the class at a later date?

Answer: The Brooklyn Beer Making Workshop is both a demonstration and hands on experience. The Instructor will teach participants all the basics to get them up and running while brewing a batch of beer. Unfortunately participants do not take home the beer that is brewed, however they are able to taste it. Participants who wish to brew their own beer at home are able to purchase a starter kits after the class.
Question: This experience gift does look interesting, but I would like to know where it takes place, is it in a brewery? Is the brew master instructing the class is a professional or a hobbyist?

Answer: The Beer Making Workshop takes place in the Prospect Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn. It is held in a class room space where beer is brewed on premises. The Beer Making Classes are taught by professional brewers with over 15 years of experience.
Question: I received this experience gift for Father's Day. Do you get to do any brewing during the class, or is it just learning?

Answer: Yes, participants do get to brew beer during the Brooklyn Beer Making Workshop. The intro classes are designed for the beginner home brewer and provide the opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of beer, its ingredients, and the process by which it’s made in a fun and relaxed environment. The hands-on workshop also features a beer tasting!
