The Trike Gliding Sonoma Experience has an average flight time of 80 to 90 minutes with total duration of approximately two hours.

Does Weather Impact Outdoor Activity Gifts

The Sonoma Trike Gliding Flights may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for Outdoor Activity Gifts

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this arial adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

Flights take place on an Air Creation trike. Participation in the Trike Gliding Over Sonoma Experience is limited to individuals weighing less than 240lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Fantastic views and quite an experience. Unlike a plane, you can dip down and explore the sights and feel the wind blowing against you. Michael at Spirits Up made sure to show me as much as possible of the Sonoma coast and teach me about trike gliding. I recommend trying it!

Questions about Trike Hang Gliding Sonoma

Question: I am going to surprise my girlfriend with this gift on her birthday. How will she need to dress?

Answer: Participants should bring layers to the airport. The trike has an open cockpit and the rider is exposed to the elements. It may get cold.
Question: What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my flight?

Answer: If your flight is cancelled for weather you will be rescheduled directly by the flight school.
Question: I would like to surprise my wife with this experience. Will I be able to bring the kids to watch her flight?

Answer: Friends and family are welcome to come to the airport and watch.
Question: Will I have the opportunity to fly the Trike?

Answer: This is not a hands on lesson. The pilot will be at the controls the entire time. If you enjoy the flight, and are interested in taking lessons, ask your pilot about lessons.
Question: I have been hang gliding but never been on a trike. Does the Trike fly under power the entire time or is it a glider?

Answer: You will be under power throughout the flight, however the Trike is capable of gliding as well.
