My husband and I had a great time on the Chocolate Tour last weekend. Our guide, Jessica, was great. We were a little surprised that we only went to one actual chocolate shop, but overall it was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Thanks for allowing me to experience the Chicago Chocolate Tour! I learned a bit about the history of chocolate and chocolate making but was a bit disappointed with the number of stops on the tour (4). We could have done a bit more walking and a little less standing around. Thanks for the opportunity though!

I've been on a chocolate tour with Chicago Chocolate Tours before (this was my third one) and they're always great. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and the samples are great. We even went to some shops on the same tour route I've done before that I'd never been to. My husband and I did this tour for our anniversary and we both enjoyed it.

The tour was fine, I was actually expecting more Chocolate shops. There were four stops on the tour and what seemed like quite a bit of walking in circles. The best part of the tour was the Belgian bakery, Hendrickx. The owner was great, spent a lot of time with the group and the food was fantastic.

This was a very informative and diverse tour. Some mainstream, some independent shops. A diversity of types of chocolates. The guide was very knowledgable.

I was not expecting what we received. Me and my sister were the only ones on the tour with Brianne, and although we thought it was going to be weird, it was really fun! The stops were great. I just wish they would offer water with some of the stops I was thirsty by the end of it. It was a lot of fun and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Our tour guide, Kristin, was a perfect perky tour guide. She was full of Chicago and Chocolate facts and always had a smile. Our first stop was Teuscher's Chocolatier, we were given a delicious champagne truffle and learned about Swiss Chocolates. From there we went to my favorite stop, Hendrickx Belgian Bread Crafters. We were given samples of 3 different breads-two with chocolate. All were delicious. As we were about to leave they mentioned that they also had the edges of the Napoleans that they cut off so the ones they sell are all square that we could try. If you do not get this lucky BUY ONE! They are amazing. From there we went to More Cupcakes. Not surprisingly we tried...cupcakes! The buttercream icing was very light and not too sweet. Then we were off to Watertower place and visited Candyality. We sampled light or dark chocolate malted milk balls as we toured the candy museum where they have clothes made of candy wrappers. And we finished at Argo Tea where they gave us a sample of chocolate tea and a chocolate croissant. I was surprised as how good the tea was since I am not a big tea fan. Chocolate and Chicago...what's not to like?

Kelly was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. The size of the group and the amount of time spent at each stop was just right. Will definitely recommend to friends.

We enjoyed it very much. Got to know places we wouldn't have found out on our own.

My daughter and I enjoyed a fun day exploring a couple of new chocolate locations. The weather was perfect and our guide outstanding! Was actually much more enjoyable than I expected! And the tastings outstanding!

I bought the Chocolate Tour for my husband as one of his birthday gifts - since he is a chocolate lover. I enjoyed it myself also. It is something that you should experience at least once. It was great seeing all of the local chocolate places that you would have never stopped foot in. Of course i found my favorite cupcake place called MORE =)...Overall it was a great time.

Wife gifted tour to me as I have an extreme sweet tooth addiction. We both had an absolute blast! Actually, I think she had more fun than I. We agree that the white chocolate bread was the best sample on the tour. Our guide was pleasant, knowledgable & fun. Go with an 'I'm gonna have fun' attitude & act a little goofy...you won't regret it. After all, we are just big kids in a candy store - enjoy.

The tour guide was very upbeat and knowledgeable. No complaints about her - in fact I would recommend her for more tours. The tour itself was really just a marketing tool for the local shops. We expected more information re: the history of chocolate etc but instead found ourselves in the middle of a two hour marketing pitch.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. This was one of my Christmas gifts. Our guide was knowledgable and fun. The places we toured were distinct from each other and I enjoyed visiting places which I may not have known without this tour.

Loved the chocolate tour....recommending it to others!
- Cindy Kostaken - Gold Coast, Tuesday, June 07, 2011
I gave this as a gift to my husband for Christmas, and we really had no idea what to expect. Our tour guide, Claire, was energetic and informative about chocolate, and she even gave us a little bit of history and architecture information on the City. But the highlight, of course, was the chocolate. We began at Teuscher's for an authentic Swiss champaigne-filled dark chocolate truffle, which was something we had never experienced before. Add to that the cupcakes and other goodies, and we were in heaven for 2-1/2 hours. Great job!

Our guide was very informative and made the tour pleasant. One problem....One member of our group has a allergy to nuts. There were no provisions for substitute tastings when the offering had nuts in it. As a result, she missed several tastings. We asked if she could have a substitution but it was not supplied. We would have enjoyed the tour much more if she was able to participate in all of it.

This was a unique and fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Ellen was our guide and was very informative and friendly. We sampled some wonderful chocolate from a variety of places. Would recommend this to anyone!
