Belgian Beer
If you love beer this is a beer drinkers dream! Showed up for my appointment and was pleasantly surprised that I was the only one there. Got to pick what kind of beer I wanted to make and was provided with a recipe. I chose a belgian trappist ale modeled after chimay red. I scooped out the appropriate quantities of the grains and began to dunk it into my own giant copper tub of water. After a while we began to add heat to the water and eventually added in hops. When it was all done boiling we pumped it into a tank where yeast was added. I have to go back in three weeks when it is done fermenting to see how it came out, Dan says I should have about 5 to 6 cases of beer which can be bottled in either 12 or 22 oz bottles with my own personal label of my design attached to it. Can't wait to taste the final product! Ofcourse while I was brewing it, Dan let me help myself to any of the beers he had in the fridge. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had. Would recommend this to anyone who loves beer and is interested in learning about how it is made.
