Step aboard a Gourmet Dinner Cruise on the Odyssey of Washington D.C. and enjoy an evening of dancing and dining.

While boarding the ship, meet the Captain and courteous crew. Then you and your guest will enter the exquisite, glass-enclosed Odyssey and discover an elegant dining room. While on board you will be served a delicious three course meal. Indulge in creative appetizer, entrees, freshly prepared desserts and an array of award-winning wines. After your meal, you may enjoy a cocktail while taking a stroll through the outdoor observation lounge while gazing at the Potomac River.

You and your guest will be delighted as you cruise under the George Mason Bridge, past the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials and up to the Washington Monument and Watergate Hotel. The Gourmet DC Diner Cruises take place Fridays thru Saturdays, year-round, subject to availability. Cruises typically board at 6:00 PM, depart at 7:00 PM and dock at 10:00 PM.

The Gourmet Dinner Cruises in Washington D.C. may be held dockside by the Captain or the Coast Guard due to severe weather conditions.

What To Wear

Elegant or dressy-casual attire is suggested. Cocktail wear or a dress is appropriate for women. Collared shirts and dress pants are recommended for men. Dark, dressy jeans are acceptable. Casual jeans, t-shirts, athletic shoes or flip flops are discouraged.

Odyssey Dinner River Cruise

The Odyssey River cruise was really good. The music made the experience really great.The band was good - ensemble really.

Ok but not great

Overall the experience was nice and relaxing, but not great. I was glad to see that the boat wasn't too full and that we had our own dining table. However, the food, music, drinks and service were all less than mediocre. The mixed drinks had little to no alcohol in them and cost $12. My pork loin and crab cake were both overcooked. The only great sights I could easily see from the boat was the lincoln memorial and washington monument which were both beautiful. I wish there was some type of map or plan to let you know where and when to look for sights. The music only picked up for the last 30 min or so, which didn't serve as enough time for people to even get started dancing. I am glad I experienced this, but compared to other dinner cruises in the northeast, this was my least favorite.

Question: I would like to surprise my girlfriend with this Cruise for our five year anniversary. Is wine included in the price of the ticket? May I bring my own bottle?

Answer: Beverages other than water, coffee and tea are an additional cost and can be purchased on board from the fully stocked cash bar. Outside beverages are not permitted onboard.
Question: Is there entertainment on board?

Answer: A live band will play music during the Cruise.
Question: Does the menu have vegetarian options?

Answer: Yes, there are vegetarian menu options. Any dietary restrictions should be mentioned to your server.
Question: Is the cruise ship wheelchair accessible?

Answer: Yes. The Odyssey has a deck and restrooms that can accommodate most standard-sized wheelchairs.
