This full day Redwoods & Wine Country Day Tour begins at 8:00 am as you head north across the Golden Gate Bridge, with its sweeping views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the city skyline. Seated comfortably in a Biodiesel Van, your driver will chauffer you through the coastal mountains of the Marin Headlands and along the base of Mt. Tamalpais until you reach Muir Woods National Monument and its renowned redwood trees.

The coastal redwood is the tallest tree species in the world, which only thrive in Northern California and Oregon, due to the thick fog that blankets the west coast in the summer months. Muir Woods is the only surviving stand of old-growth redwood forest in the Bay Area today. Once you arrive at Muir Woods, you will have 1½ hours to wander amongst these magnificent towering giants and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of this living museum.

Next, you will reunite with the rest of the group just before noon and travel to Sonoma Wine Country, where you will spend the afternoon sampling fine Sonoma County wines. You will taste a variety of white, red, and dessert wines at local Sonoma wineries such as Homewood, Cline Cellars, and Benziger Family, among others. During your tour you will stop for lunch at either at a winery or in the historic Sonoma town square, where you will have a chance to visit Mission San Francisco de Solano, the northernmost California mission, sample cheeses at Sonoma Jack's Cheese Factory and peruse the boutique shops of this quaint downtown. On the return journey to San Francisco, you will enjoy views of the beautiful valleys that have supplied the world with fantastic wines for over 60 years.

Who
The Muir Woods and Sonoma Winery Tour Xperience Certificate® is for one participant. There will be up to 12 additional participants on the tour.

Guests
This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When
The Muir Woods and Sonoma Winery Tour Experience takes place seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Tours typically depart at 8:00 AM and return at 5:30 PM.

Duration
The Muir Woods and Sonoma Winery Tour Experience includes includes transportation to and from San Francisco to Muir Woods and Sonoma, 1½ hours at Muir Woods and tastings at three or four Sonoma Wineries and has a total duration of approximately 9 hours.

Weather
The Muir Woods and Sonoma Winery Tour may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, flat, rubber-soled walking shoes and layers are recommended for this exciting tour.

Additional Information
The tour price does not include $5 Muir Woods entry fee, meals or gratuity. Wine tasting fees may apply depending on the wineries visited.

Children must be accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age or older at all times.

Wine Tasting is limited to individuals who are atleast 21 years of age. Participants must bring a valid form of Photo ID.
