The staff were amazing they worked hard to make everyone feel comfortable the overallexperiance was one I will never forget although I was a little disappointed after I got my lap sheet to find out that I had only done 29 laps when the experience that was purchased was for 30 laps.

Great time. Everything about the experience was top notch, attention to safety and a good time. Robert my crew chief was caring and a pro. Dave the in-car instructer was a pro by every sence of the word, calm and knowledgeable. I have already recommended this event to my friends.

I got this as a birthday present from my girlfriend and was somewhat skeptical about how much I would really enjoy the driving experience, and oh how wrong I was. When we arrived (my 14 year old son went with me) we checked in at the desk to confirm our resevation and quickly got sized and presented with my driving suit for the day or rather my three hour session. We were then ushered into the meeting room for our do's and dont's about driving the car, still being somewhat skeptical up to this point. In the meeting though, I did learn that they had a special that day for kids aged 14 to 19 years of age to ride with a professional driver at speeds of 165 mph for 30 bucks, a no-brainer to me, of course we will sign him up. Next stop was in the pits where we would be doing the driving, the previous class was just finishing up with the last of their drivers and so you could see and hear the cars as they took off for their laps (adrenaline is starting to pump now). I was about midway in the roster so I got to see how the other drivers did before I took my turn, while some were going slow, you could tell the drivers who were really pushing their own limits. When came to it being my turn, I was ready, I would have to say that my biggest concern at this point was actually getting into the car....seriously, it's a tight squeeze and I'm not the most flexible person in the world, but it worked. The crew member straps you in really tight, to the point that you think that you won't be able to breathe, but you forget about that really quick after you mount the steering wheel and he proceeds to fire up the engine. My top speed was 141 and I can tell you that there is a whole new found respect for the guys that drive these cars for a living, the power in these cars just seems bottomless, they just keep pulling into the straights and you're only slowed by the instructor that follow around the track. It's amazing how the car wants to pull into the wall when coming out of the corners because of the amount of power these car harness. I did learn an important lesson though, to get the full experience and the speeds that you want.....trust the car, they will stick and do what they say in the meetings. As I finished my laps and climbed out of the car, my son said that he was now ready to take his ride with the driver. They suited him up tracside and fitted him with a helmet. Once loaded into the car, the driver pulls to the end of pit lane and stops, when he gets the green light to go, he just punches the throttle and literally doesn't let off until they finally pull back into pit road. Just seeing that smile on his face as he exits the car is just priceless. Would I do it again....Hell yeah!!!

Had a great time. Driving at those speeeds is definitely something to experience in your life time. What a thrill. The only problem is that 8 laps go by so fast. For the amount of money we paid it would have been nice for them to double the number of laps. Just when you get comfortable driving the car the 8 laps are up.

Want to make fun of those NASCAR guys that drive around in circles on Saturday and Sunday? Do 8 laps on the famous Daytona Race Track in a (King) Richard Petty Racing School car and see if you still think going around in circles is something someone can do with one hand on the wheel. A Great time and I would do it again.

Totally exhilarating....driving behind the wheel of an authentic NASCAR at over 150 MPH is one of appreciation for the professionals as well as one for the 'Bucket List' of lifetime experiences.
- Dale Hite - Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Monday, April 11, 2011
The entire experience was truly awesome. Everyone on the Richard Petty staff went out of their way to ensure that each student driver was well informed and taken care of. If you are a NASCAR fan you have to do this. I can guarantee you will want to come back for more just as I plan to do!!
- J.R. - Ft. Worth, Texas, Monday, April 05, 2010
The experience was a good one all in all, however for the money it would seem you should get a little more time in the car, at 45 seconds per lap on average you only get about 6 minutes actually driving and you spend nearly 3 hours total. The attraction is to drive the car for most of us and I felt there just wasnt enough time behind the wheel to make it a real value.

I had a great time, most fun. Everyone was nice can't wait to do again.
- Benny Torres - Miami Springs, FL, Tuesday, March 02, 2010
The Racing Experience was awesome! The entire process was great from the class to driving at 143 mph. I had an experience of a lifetime.

This is one of greatest experiences of my life! Everyone with the Richard Petty D.E. Team was super and Matt was a great class instructor. After the classroom, Greg gave in-car instruction and then OFF you go. I ran thru the four gears coming out pit-row following Miichael and eight of the fastest laps of my life around the Daytona Tri-Oval! I also have a new found respect for NASCAR drivers and their teams.

Great Experience from start to finish. Everyone, especially the instructor (Dan Liebich) and the guys at the pit lane were very helpful, understanding and positive. Defintively will do it again a second time. Thanks for the memories! Tony Nieves - Palatine IL

The Racing Experience was great! I did eight laps driving the car, with classes of instructions with other drivers. In the program, you follow a lead car, driving speeds you feel comfortable with, all of the employees are friendly and helpful, Stacie checks you in, Greg was a great instructor, with David Williams.

Question: does a professional driver accompany the participant?
Answer: For the Drive a Stockcar experience, there will not be an instructor in the vehicle with the participant. The participant will have radio communication with the instructor while on the track.
Question: The session is 3 hours long, would he get to drive the car for 3 hours? Or how long does he actually get to drive the vehicle?
Answer: Participants do not drive for the total duration of 3 hours. The Drive a NASCAR Experience includes 8 Laps drivingl and has a total duration at the race track of approximately 3 hours, unless an additional Lap Option is selected.
