Relive the glory days of aviation and experience the ultimate aerial adventure during this amazing Vintage Airborne Adventure. You will have the opportunity to fly in three amazing Vintage Aircrafts: a 1942 WWII Stearman Biplane, a 1941 North American SNJ4 “Texan” and an extraordinary 1943 Curtiss P40 “Kittyhawk”. These vintage aircrafts, once used as the advanced trainers for WWII aviators, are some of the most important aircraft designs of the Second World War era—perhaps of all time!

Prior to take off, your instructor will go over all of the basics of the controls and safety for each of the vintage planes. In this classic Stearman Biplane, you will soar for about 20 minutes. Afterwards, you will take to the skies for 30 minutes in the 1941 North American SNJ4 “Texan”. The final 30 minute vintage flight takes place in the extremely rare Curtiss P-40.

This Ultimate Warbird Flight Experience guarantees bragging rights and memories to last a lifetime, and is the perfect unique gift for first-time flyers, nostalgia buffs, modelers and pilots.

WWII Avaitor for a day

5 stars

I really enjoyed my aviator for a day experience in Savannah. From the pick-up at the airport, to dinner Friday night at the Eighth Air Forec Museum, to the Tours, the flight briefing, the Flight on the B-i7 and the dinner Saturday night, everything was First Class. I enjoyed the talks by the veterans who actual flew B-17's and their experiences. You have done a wonderful job and I would not hesitate to try another experience. Best of luck with your program.

Question: Why can't I reserve a specific time on the weekend?

Answer: Weekends are first come first serve. The reason is the unpredictability of wine country traffic on the weekends. If you get caught in traffic and are even 15 minutes late to your flight, it will throw the rest of the days schedule off.

Question: What happens if there is bad weather on the day of my flight?

Answer: Weather cancellations are at the discretion of the pilot and will be rescheduled directly with the service provider. We recommend calling just before you leave your house or hotel to confirm you flight. Coastal rain and fog can move in quickly in Sonoma. On the other hand it can also move out quickly so the weather may be better at the airport than it is where you are staying. No shows are non-refundable and will not be rescheduled.

Question: Can I invite friends and family to the airport with me?

Answer: Yes, as long as they follow the rules. They must use the designated parking area before they pass the gate, children cannot be left unattended, do not go over the 'Do Not Pass" lines or wander onto the runway and stand in front of or touch any of the aircraft without permission. If you have any questions about the rules you can call the Sonoma Valley Airport directly at 707-938-2444.

Question: Is the cockpit heated?

Answer: No, this is a vintage 1940s aircraft and the cockpit is not heated.

Question: Am I allowed to bring my camera?

Answer: Yes, you may bring a camera or camcorder but it MUST have a strap.
