You will turn your dreams of being a Pilot into reality the moment that you climb into a Cessna 172 and take over the controls of a plane during this 30-minute introductory flight lesson in Detroit.

You will learn how to fly an airplane as you soar 5,000 feet over Michigan. Before the fun begins, you will receive a briefing from your Instructor on the techniques and safety aspects of light aircraft flying. After your ground instruction, you will hop into the co-pilot's seat and prepare for takeoff with a Certified Flight Instructor by your side at all times. During this exhilarating flying adventure, you will fly from Troy, Michigan toward the City of Detroit. Whether you are looking to begin a new hobby or you are simply interested in seeing what it feels like to pilot a light aircraft, you will never forget this amazing airborne flying adventure.

When
The Discovery Flying Lesson In Detroit Experience is offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Flights are typically scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Duration
The Discovery Flying Lesson In Detroit Experience includes 20 minutes of ground instruction and has an average flight time of 20 minutes. The total duration is approximately 1 hour, unless the Extended 60 Minute Discovery Flight Option is selected.

Weather
The Discovery Flying Lesson In Detroit Experience may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds, fog or rain.

What to wear
Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

Additional Information
Participants must be atleast 14 years old and may not exceed 230 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered by the Instructor to be unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

All pilots are accident and incident free and the company has a 100% safety record. Pilots are Certified Flight Instructors.

Participants are required to show a valid form of ID and they will be required to sign a Liability Release Form. If the participant is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Cancellation Policy
