Price for 1 participant
Hop into the pilot seat, learn the basics of aviation, take the controls and get ready to view some of Northern New Jersey's famous sites. On this hands-on scenic flight lesson you will learn the basics of flight and take over the controls of a light aircraft. Your experience will begin with 30 minutes of ground instruction during which your Certified Instructor will go over the aircraft controls and preflight safety and training information. You will then spend an hour in the air learning how to control the aircraft as you fly over Northern New Jersey. While at the controls, you may even spot the magnificent New York City skyline in the distance!
Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation. Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and should be extended following the flight. If you are not riding with a passenger, the maximum weight of the participant flying in a Cessna 172 is 245lbs.

Cancellation PolicyMy flying experience...
I got a phone call few days before my reservation on May 11 that due to weather conditions my appointment is postponed to another day whenever im available so i chose it to be one week later and so it was. Even thou the weather was cloudy the experience was a sunshine! The instructor (Daniel) was 11 out of 10 in all aspects. I really dont have words to explain how pleased i am and overall this experience definitely out worth the price!

Amazing Experience!
I bought this package for my husband for our one year wedding anniversary and it was a complete success. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, there was a huge smile on both of our faces. The staff at Certified Flyers is visibly passionate about what they do. They really took the time to explain everything to us and make us feel comfortable (I am actually quite terrified of flying). Frank, our instructor, knew what he was talking about and really let my husband take the wheel. Instead of being impatient and taking over when my husband struggled, he talked him through it and helped him understand how to maneuver in the right way. Overall great experience that left my husband wanting to pursue his pilot license! Thank you !

Flying Lesson
Surprised my husband with a flight lesson for his 40th Bday. The instructor was very nice, patient and supportive. I was a guest on the flight. Was a bit disappointed when we landed again 35 min after take off. I had read the in air time would be 60 min, didn't think it included landing and exit.
Know my husband was nervous, maybe thats what cut the in air time short. All is all a great experience but wished it would have been longer.

Flight Lesson

Great time!
I am 15 and have recently gone on this experience. It was exelent. I had a very nice and insightful instructor and the customer service was exellent. He allowed me to taxi the plane (which took some getting used to) and takeoff. The veiw was stunning. I saw some mountain ranges, a large lake, the jets training facility, and several other cool and interesting sights. Overall five out of five experience... great time!!!!

Great Experience
This flight lesson was a birthday gift, and it really over-achieved on the expectations that I had for it. The instructor was very, experienced & knowledge-able, and initially I only expected to control the flight for a short time, but outside or take-off / landing, I flew the entire session, which was about 60+ minutes... It gave me a real appreciation for flying, and I would absolutely do it again.

Flight Lesson
Hi, i took my first flight lesson as a suprise Birthday gift on 7-6-12. Aside from the gift in itself being awesome the lesson itself was great! It was a very relaxed mood and the instructor was very affable although serious about the task. Prior to the flight we were briefed on what to expect and what we were going to do. Next I we walked through the flight check and everything was explained in a very comprehensive and understandable manner. We had a beautiful day of weather adding to the enjoyment of the lesson. All along I felt totally confident that I had absolute immediate support to any concern or issue that could've come up. I took the controls for takeoff and before you knew it we were airborne! As we flew our instructor made it a point to communicate with us constantly assuring us that he was maintaining an on going status check of all aspects of the lesson including our experience. I totally enjoyed the sensory overload of all of these strange sensations of flight in a small Cessna and we ascended, banked, viewed the lay of the land and descended for a pin point perfect landing. Overall I give the lesson and experience an A rating and am inspired to return. Thanks again for making my birthday that much more exciting of an experience!

Awesome Xperience!
Chris took my girlfriend and I out on our flight and what a pleasure it was. He explained how everything in the aircraft worked and gave me plenty of control once we were up in the air. We also got to fly over my house which was pretty cool.I definitely recommend this to anybody, regardless of whether they want to one day be a pilot or not.

A birthday gift to remember
I purchased the experience as a surprise gift for my husband's 50 b'day. He does not get easily impressed. But this was absolutely amazing. The day was picture perfect. The plane was (almost) in mint condition (we used SR22). Our instructor was young and friendly. My husband, who for most of his life has been a car racing fan, suddenly got a taste of flying. He indeed felt in control. Once all was done, he couldn't stop talking about it and sharing his experience with friends and relatives, which was very unusual for him. The fact that we live in 15 mins driving distance from the airport made this even better. Overall, I very highly recommend this as a gift.

NJ Flight Lesson
The weather did not cooperate on the initial weekend I made the appointment for. However, it was very easy to reschedule for the next week. I was very excited and nervous to try my hand at flying. Having an instructor that was an expert and professional calmed my nerves. He was also nice and friendly. I had a great time controlling the plane. My fiancee was there to watch and ride along. I think that is one of the best parts. It would have been nice to have gotten a chance to fly over the clouds or swing closer to the Tapanzee bridge, but the clear views were pretty awesome already. We also had a really smooth landing.

My First Flight
Not sure how exciting/exhilarating was the first flight for the Wright brothers, I had a great time sitting at the pilot seat for the first time and able to fly. It was a dream come true. My instructor, Chris, was a great guy and gave me enough time to settle down and experience the flight. Provided an insight into how pilot's go about their routine. Explained each of his actions before and helped me understand the plane better. I'd have liked to fly over my neighborhood and may be a little more info on the mechanics of flight and what I can do to further to indulge myself in more flying. But I'm not complaining. Amazing Experience!
I got this as a gift for my boyfriend's 27th birthday this past weekend, since he's wanted to fly ever since he was little. I surprised him with it as we were driving to the Morristown airport, and he was THRILLED! Awesome Gift!
I have been dating my boyfriend for a little over a year and I was having a hard time coming up with a unique 24th birthday gift for him. I ended up choosing this Flight Lesson after stumbling upon XperienceDays on Google. My boyfriend absolutely LOVED it and said it was the best gift he ever got. I wouldn't even say he's INTO airplanes, but he's loves adventures and prefers experiences over material things. I would definitely recommend this Flight Lesson!! Amazing views, everything you could ask for. I get very nervous when I fly, but our instructor, Brian, made us feel very comfortable and safe. He answered every question I had and was very knowledgeable about airplanes. He felt more like a friend than an 'instructor.' Morristown has a very friendly staff, overall. Helpful advice: We went in August and it was very very hot since the airplane doesn't have AC, so dress according to the weather and make sure you're comfortable. If you are claustrophobic, the plane is VERY small! Smaller than a car! So if you feel uncomfortable in confined spaces (especially if you are a guest and not the 'pilot' you will be sitting in the back seat) this experience might not be for you. If you get motion sickness, this experience also might not be for you. Apparently it's not unusual for people to throw up due to turns and other movements of the plane.

Birthday Present
I was initially surprised when my girlfriend got me a flying lesson for my birthday a few months back. However I can say that I am very glad she did. Yesterday was a great, memorable experience. The 20-25 minutes on the ground were quick but informative and the next thing I knew, I was pulling back on the wheel, taking the plane off the ground. It was fantastic to fly a plane, to be the person who is controlling an aircraft 3,500 feet off the ground. Amazing.

Great Experience, Perfect Present, Memorable Day
My husband was excited from the second he received his (nicely presented) Xperience Days gift card as a birthday present. Peter at Certified Flyers II was friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and after, when we requested more training literature. Steve our pilot was professional, personable and encouraging (I got to tag along for the airplane ride!). Flight lesson in NJ
If you have the possibility to take this flight lesson you will be amazed. THIS WAS A GIFT OF MY GIRLFRIEND FOR MY BDAY. Girls I can tell you your BF will love it and love you! It was a very good experience and I only can recommend it to everybody. Not only that the Experience team was helpful in finding the directions from Manhattan to the Airport in advance the people at the airport were so nice to actually pick us up from the train station. The flight itself was amazing. I thought I would only be able to fly the plane for like a couple of seconds. After the take off I took complete control over the plane and the instructor was very helpful in explaining every detail about the handling of the Cessna. I would have never thought to actually fly this plane for an hour. If it wasn't so windy I would have been more involved in the take off and landing. AMAZING!!!!

Answer: The Flight Lesson New Jersey takes place at the Morristown Municipal Airport. Once you have a confirmed reservation, we will provide you with the address for the flight lesson. There is a parking lot in front of the providers office.

Answer: Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and can be extended following the flight. The recommended amount would be 10% of the price of the experience, however this is optional.
Question: Are there particular flight days established or do you reach a mutual agreement about the day to go? Is the pilot certified as an instructor? If I purchase the gift, is there something you would send me that I can give to the recipient?
Answer: The Morristown Flight Lesson is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM and all Pilots are Certified Flight Instructors.
In general, you may purchase an open certificate for the experience you are interested and allow the recipient to schedule the date of the event, or you may schedule the date of the experience at the time of purchase or after by contacting us at 866-973-7436.

Answer: Yes, the participant in the Flight Lesson New Jersey may invite one guest to join them as a passenger for the Flying Lesson. The maximum combined weight of the participant and their guest may not exceed 375lbs.
Question: I know two people can go up in the plane, but do they both get to fly or is it just one person that gets to fly?
Answer: Only one passenger will be able to take the controls and learn to fly the plane during the New Jersey Flight Lesson. The participant may invite one guest to join them for the Flying Lesson. However, the guest will not be able to fly the plane.
Question: Hi, I was wondering which option I would have to choose in order to fly with my husband, if I chose to get this for him as a gift? Would it be the Cirrus SR20?
Answer: You do not need to choose an additional option in order to join the participant on the flight. The experience takes place in a Cessna 172 aircraft which can hold two passengers plus the Flight Instructor. Individuals must weight less than 225lbs and the total weight of all participans must not exceed 375lbs.
Question: Can you please tell me the difference between the different flight options: G1000, Cirrus SR20, and Cirrus SR22?
Answer: The Flight Lesson New Jersey options are for different types of planes. Descriptions of these planes are listed below:
Cessna 172 G1000
This Cessna 172 includes a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit which integrates all primary flight, engine and sensor data to provide intuitive, at-a-glance situational awareness.
Cirrus SR20
The Cirrus Design SR20 is a piston engine composite monoplane that seats four.
Cirrus SR22
The SR22, by Cirrus Design, is a single-engine, four-seat, composite aircraft. It is a more powerful version of the Cirrus SR20, with a larger wing, higher fuel capacity, and a 310 horsepower (231 kW) engine.
Question: I want to know the detail cost of this lesson.Also, I would like to know, if it is available on week ends?
Answer: The Flight Lesson New Jersey is $235 and includes 30 minutes of ground instruction and flight time of 60 minutes with a total duration of approximately 2 hours.

You are correct. If the pilot deems that it is not possible to fly, then you would be able to reschedule with the flight school for another date in the future at a mutually convenient time to you and the pilot (weather permitting of course).
