Explore the beautiful sea cliffs and La Jolla Ecological Reserve filled with marine life. Paddle to Sunny Jim's cave, Arch Cave, Clams' Cave and other sea caves for an amazing close-up of this sandstone formation along the shores.

Kayak San Diego in the calm ocean waters protected by the crescent shape of La Jolla Cove. Catch a glimpse of harbor seals, sea lions and orange garibaldi swimming nearby the cove. Then, kayak to the amazing kelp forest and Ecological Reserve. Paddle through this underwater kelp forest, home to an array of marine life, including seals, sea lions and the occasional dolphins. This is a great way to explore the beautiful Southern California Coastline.

When
The La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour Experience is is offered up to seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Tours depart at 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

June 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26

July 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31

Duration
The La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour Experience has a paddle time of approximately 2 hours and a total experience time of approximately 2½ hours.

Weather
The La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour Experience may be cancelled by the Guide due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to wear
Dress comfortably in a bathing suit or light, quick-drying clothing, sandals and a baseball hat. Please also bring an extra towel with a change of clothes.

Additional Information
La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour For Two takes place in a tandem Kayak built for two participants.

San Diego Kayak tours are designed to accommodate beginners as well as experienced kayakers. There is no minimum age requirement on the day tours, individuals must be 6 years of age or older to participate in the Sunset tour. Individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Appropriate PFDs are available for all age levels. All equipment is included and instruction is provided.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Cancellation Policy
All changes to reservations for the La Jolla Sea Caves Kayak Tour Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

La Jollay Sea Caves Kayak Tour

This was a great first time kayaking experience. We ended up having the best day of the summer for it - per our guide. It can be pretty windy, which might be a challenge for new kayakers, but was really calm on our day - could see about 20 ft down in the water. Saw leopard sharks, and these cool 'giant goldfish', cormorants, brown pelicans and sea lions. Our guide was very entertaining. The only challenge was finding the store - there are many Kayak tour places and this one is not called 'La Jolla Sea Caves'. Luckily we had the address and found it by that.
