Explore the exciting art of Body Painting as you yourself become a three dimensional canvas for an artist’s masterpiece. This three-hour Body Art Photography Shoot is a creative experience gift, perfect for anyone looking to capture a unique memory.

The fun begins in Long Island City where you will meet with your professional Artist at the studio. After introductions are complete, you will review the designs available together. Once a design is selected and body placement decided, the Artist will paint your chosen masterpiece on your own skin! Over the course of two hours they will transform you into your own a work of art such as Starry Night or Dali’s Rose. Once the painting is complete, you will then sit for a photography session which will capture the Artist’s work forever. Following the session, the Photographer will send you the images to keep.

So whether you’re looking for a unique portrait of yourself or a truly unique gift, this Body Art Photo Shoot is the perfect masterpiece!

The Body Painting Photo Shoots are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays year-round, subject to availability. Wednesday appointments may be scheduled at 11:30 AM, 3:00 PM, or 6:30PM. Tuesday and Thursday appointments may be scheduled at 6:30 PM. Weekend appointments may be scheduled at 9:30 AM, 1:00PM, or 4:30PM.

The Body Painting Session typically lasts 1 to 2 hours and the Photo Shoot Session is typically 1 hour in duration for a total of 3 hours.

Paintings to choose from include: Starry Night, Spanish Dancer, Birthday after Chagal, Acrobat after Picasso, Koi, Moulin Rouge, Persistence of Memory, Scream, a Dragon, Tribal, a Tribal Phoenix or Dali's Rose. Any of the paintings can be applied to the participant's front or back upper body. Participants who are uncomfortable being topless can wear a backless top.

Sessions place in Long Island City in the Artist's studio. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Participants will receive a link to a Private online gallery that contains all high resolution images from the photo shoot.

Please could you tell us a little bit about the history of DenArt and how these experiences began?

Established in 2009, we were the first company to make a body painting experience available for the general public. DenArt studio started when Danny Setiawan experimented with body painting as a medium to increase the relevancy of his art. In 2009, Ekaterina Dorozhkina joined DenArt and turned it from a merely personal artistic endeavor, into a platform to empower others through body painting.

What encouraged your passion for body painting?

Seeing the way body painting experiences can change people’s perception of the human body is very encouraging. Particularly when models and clients who had body image issues see themselves in a different light.

What would you say is the best thing about the activities you offer?

It’s self-affirming and empowering.

Question: Are we allowed to bring a friend along for support?

Answer: Yes, as long as they don't interfere with the artist.
Question: Can my partner do the painting?

Answer: The Body Painting Photography Shoot includes a professional body painter and photographer. You may bring your partner along for support but the artist will do the painting.
Question: How long is the painting session?

Answer: The artist will take between 1 and 2 hours to complete the painting. It is followed by a 1 hour photo shoot.
Question: How will I receive my photos?

Answer: At the end of the session you will receive a link to a private online gallery containing your photos.
