Lead at a leisurely pace of approximately 9:30 minute miles, your Guide will also offer several opportunities to take photos and stop at points of interest along the route.

The NYC 5K Fun Runs are offered 6 days a week year-round, subject to availability. The Running Tours typically begin at 8:00 AM on Mondays and Fridays, 7:00 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 AM on Wednesdays and 8:30 AM on Saturdays.

The Manhattan Fun Runs have a tour length of 3½ miles and a total duration of approximately 1 hour.

The Central Park Running Tours take place in most weather conditions. Runs may be re-scheduled by the Guide due to poor weather.

What To Wear

Dress comfortably according to the days weather in running shoes and exercise apparel.

Tours are run at a leisurely pace, typically 9:30 minutes per mile. There are brief stops along the way to take pictures and discuss points of interest.

Participants will need to sign a Participation Agreement.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Question: I am interested in purchasing a unique gift for my Sister's birthday. She and her husband just moved to New York and like to run. Is this a race or a tour?

Answer: This is a non-competitive sight seeing running tour. You will stop at and learn about the history of many of the most iconic Central Park landmarks. This is a fun an active way to learn about NYC!
Question: I am interested in finding a unique gift for my parents. They are pretty active, but don't run often. Can they power walk in the back?

Answer: The 5k tours involve up to .5 miles of running in between each stop. The running pace is typically a 9-10 minute mile, and they will need to be able to keep up with the group to hear the guide. For those not up for running, the Central Park Sunrise Yoga Tour combines power walking and yoga with sightseeing.
