Delight in a full day Rafting Adventure on the thrilling Deschutes River at Harpham Flats where you will tackle a series of Class III and IV rapids, including the infamous Box Car.  You will meet your friendly experienced guide before embarking on a six hour, eighteen mile float on the Deschutes River. 

Around mid-day you will stop at Maupin City Park for a delicious BBQ Steak and Chicken Lunch. Then, you will feel your adrenaline peak again as you continue you ride Oak Springs and, if you’re feeling adventurous, bodysurf the elevator rapids, before you portage around Sherar’s Falls. The final five mile stretch includes both the challenging Wreck Rapids and calmer waters with spectacular views of high-desert rock formations and wildlife.

The Deschutes River Whitewater Rafting Full Day Experience Gifts Certificate is valid for one participant, unless additional participants are added onto the certificate. You will be joined by additional participants in the raft.

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests.

When It Is Offered hide

The Deschutes River Rafting Adventure is offered seven days a week May thru September, subject to availability. Check in begins at 9:30 AM and trips depart at 10:00 AM.

How Long Is It hide

The Deschutes River Full Day Rafting includes an 18 mile float and a total duration of approximately 6 hours.

Weather hide

The Full Day Deschutes River Whitewater Rafting may be rescheduled due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear hide

Dress comfortably, and bring a change of clothing. Recommended items include a swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses, hat or visor, tennis shoes or water sandals and sunscreen.

Additional Information hide

Your rafting experience will take place with a Professional Guide and includes all rafting gear, lift jackets, dry bags for personal items, a BBQ Steak and Chicken Lunch and round-trip transportation from the meeting location.

Participation is limited to individuals 18 years of age and older. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

The Deschutes River has been recognized and designated as a Wild and Scenic River by the U.S. Congress because of its breathtaking landscape, pristine ecology and abundant wildlife. The River also has a rich history and importance to Central Oregon, and was encountered by Lewis and Clark. It is now known as a premier river for whitewater rafting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and hiking. Class I- IV rapids can be rafted on the Deschutes, depending on which route is taken.
