This Scenic Flight begins as you depart from Oakland County International Airport. You and your guest will meet with your Pilot were you will board the Helicopter. Then, it’s time to take out your camera and get ready take in the panoramic views of Motor City. During this Michigan Tour, you will enjoy bird’s eye views of the City as you fly over many points of interest. Your Pilot will offer a narration as you see sights like the Detroit River, Lake St Clair, Belle Island, Ford Field, Comerica Park and more. You may even have the chance to fly over your own Wayne County home!

The Detroit Helicopter Flight Tour Experience is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights are typically scheduled between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

The Detroit Helicopter Flight Tour Experience may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What To Wear

Dress Comfortably. Flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure. Helicopters are climate controlled.

Your flight will take place on the Robinson R44 which provides a very smooth ride and seats three passengers and the pilot. All participants must have a valid photo ID (passport or driving license).

The maximum weight of a single participant may not exceed 300lbs, and the maximum combined weight of the participants may not exceed 570lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

All passengers will receive headsets to allow for conversation between passengers and the Pilot. Questions are encouraged.

Flights are not available 1 hour before, during or 1 hour after an NFL or MLB Games.

All Pilots are Certified Instructors, accident and incident free and the Company has a 100% safety record.

Question: Can I add another person to my certificate?

Answer: There are 4 seats on the helicopter including the pilot's seat. The certificate is valid for up to 2 participants. You may purchase a third participant, but the combined weight of all participants must be under 540lbs.
Question: The 3 of us are just over the 540lb limit. How strict are they?

Answer: Weight limits are set by the FAA, and for safety reasons they need to be very strict. If it's at all questionable, they'll weigh you.
